Also, I've not seen a ski with THAT much green glue on top of the pump cavity.
Mine only had a little OEM green glue there & I removed it.

Im getting ready to set this thing on fire. I have now tried for the third time to start glassing and i can not get it to set like it should.... my shop is 60*, i have two heat lamps on the glass, i mixed the epoxy correct and had it in my house for 24hrs to warm. is there any possible way that the epoxy can be no good? I have never had this issue before, but then again i have never glassed when it was cold.

If the heat lamps don't help, the fire should.

I'd take the epoxy to your house, let it get to room temp, mix up a small batch and try to layup a small piece and see if it sets or not.

I'm glassing in our basement which is pretty cool, probably high 50's in that room unless I have the electric heater on, and haven't had any problems. I also did a little out in the garage in 40F weather and it would still setup, though pretty slow.

i will give that a shot, i did notice that when i used the slow cure i had from last year to make templates for the rear of the ski they hardened in one day... i have been using med cure for all the work i have attempted, but i just bought it so i dont know how it would be bad. Ive given up for tonight, almost three hours and its still tacky and no where near hard :ugh2:

Dude, put a halogen work light near it and watch it smoke in front of your eyes. It is the temperature. It's no big secret :moon:

Got the hood reshaped tonight, filled the sides with cabisol/epoxy (found it to be easier than the foam IMO ) plan on doing the rest of the reinforcement to the sides tomorrow.... this is taking way longer than i wanted

Its been a while since I have taken pics, but tonight I did. Got the ski reinforced, back end is fiber glassed up really thick so it never fails and makes me sink lol. Got the nose shaped, one way valve installed, and extruded foam in the back end. This week I will be putting more foam on the hood and shaping it to match the nose. I also have to reinforce the handpole bracket area, glass in the tray, and pour foam to fill in voids in the tray area.

I like how everyone is starting to form their own round nose squares... Adds character.

I must say, I would trim the hood a good bit though similar to how I altered your picture. Despite the asthetics... If you don't trim it, your throttle lever is probably going to hit the hood when the pole drops.
