Well of course right when I am trying to get my ski finished, everyone and their grandma wants work done on their ski... I cant turn down easy money so I am not going to be painting this week. Here it is waiting to be sanded one last time. I gave it a quick rattle can paint job so I can see where the uneven areas are while sanding... I think its going to look really good once its painted :cheer2:
Oh yea and I fixed the leaks

This is taking way too long. I sprayed some primer and didnt like a few spots so once again I am back to filling and sanding:doh: I did do a bit of fabrication on my waterbox for the front exhaust :thinkerg: It isnt the most beautiful water box, but it is going to be effective

paint done. I love the color (gunmetal black) the only thing I am disappointed about is the booth I used did not have a very good filter system since it is not really used much any more and there is trash in the paint. The rails are going to be turfed and some yellow yamaha decals on the sides so most of it will be covered. I am curious if there is any way to get that out by wet sanding and buffing or some other method, suggestions are welcomed.

:bow28: HOLY SHIOT this thing exceeded my expectations by 1000x what I expected. I didnt even really tune the carb today. It ran so well with the same jets and ns that I had in my 46mm that I ran it the whole time after setting the low speed on the trailer with the hs out 1.25 turns, I leaned it out 1/4 turn and it was no better or worse so I just kept it at 1.25. Had I known what a difference the msd and the full spec make I would have got them a year ago. The ski had no leaks in the hull and no water in the back end :cheer2:. The oneway worked amazing after I got the debris out of it, I think my bilge pumped water out one time. The 3 or 4 inches I took off of the back of the ski made it soooo incredibly nimble it was amazing. I could turn on a dime and lay it completely over on the side while staying hooked up the whole time. The footholds with 1'' of padding were extremely comfy. The -4 pole felt so much better than the stock length I was running. All in all I would give the modifications I did a 9/10 on effectiveness, with the only draw back being the ski is squirrely up top but who cares, I dont race. This is by far the best thing I have done that I will not do again for a long time :fingersx: It looks like I will be having a bit of a learning curve to get past since every big wake I hit and stab I tried I busted my ass, it is alot different than my old pos.

PS Thanks to crammit for all the help along the way with setting up the TL, It ran flawlessly and gave me unbelievable snap off of the bottom.

LOL, that is my old race ski. You must have gotten it from John in Virginia Beach. Quite a transformation. Looks good, I like the color.

same motor now with a hooker prop, TL, and full spec. Adam rode yesterday and he was extremely impressed. I can barely walk today from riding yesterday, this thing really gives you a work out.
