First picture of 2021 Waverunner including Superjet

Watching all these videos with the endless chatter and crappy music and NOT being able to hear the ski, makes me want to punch a baby.
LOL. I've been trying to find something with engine noise, alas not yet...

Maybe someone will buy the model that Kommander has on the floor today and go ride it at body beach.

Dustin's video is up. Dig the GP1 1500 graphics on it since they have presumably been riding this on the water for a while now...
It looks pretty fast and peppy/responsive. Looks heavier than a 701, but he still manages to hop it out of the water.
Sounds pretty good, has just a bit of a throaty sound to it.
Kommander has already modified the TR-1 a lot so I imagine the horsepower is going to get out of control pretty fast.
The new hood is all plastic and far lighter. It's an assembly of a few parts and I can hear it creaking/flexing? as Dustin removes/handles it.
He said 100hp but we know the TR-1 is around 124-130hp so I think he maybe just mis-spoke. I would not expect it to be de-tuned that much?
Talks a lot about how he also started on a 2-stroke like all of us, but really prefers the 4-stroke engines for a standup.

Just got off phone with local dealer here in CA and first they told me they cant sell the stand ups in CA and then they had no idea there was even a 4-stroke stand up coming...
Yikes, can't imagine they have any coming in soon. Sounds like you need to drive over to Kommander...

I had the same reply last week when I called my dealer. We haven't sold a superjet since 2007. Hello? Have you read your emails from Yamaha? They couldn't / didn't know how to take my money (for a deposit). Called me back the next day. Its not good when customers know more about a product than a dealer

I wonder how dealer allocations are going to be done? CA is a huge market but have not been able to sell Superjets due to two strokes. So you cant allocate based on previous years Superjet sales. If they do it based on waverunner sales who are the large dealers (I assume Riva is one of them)? It will be interesting to see how we get them in CA

Where's the battery?
No being a smart ass, just don't see where it is.
It's under the foot tray. They forgot to show the huge storage bin under the foottray, cell phone, cooler, lunch box, its pretty cool. The battery is on the side, you will have to move it if you want to install footwells. Just kidding- i dont know but I bet its near the same location as previous. The waterbox is in the back so I hope it is not under that!

on the East Coast https://www.msnwaterford.com/ claimed they sell more superjets in the east than any other dealer when I spoke to them last year so they will happily take deposit money
Kommander had 12+ 2020 Superjets in inventory March (all sold now). Add that on top of what they sold. Lots of SJ sales for them. Seems like they have a good relationship with Yamaha Factory if they did testing for them

In Dustin's video, you can see it in the engine bay shots. I think it is in the back right corner of the engine bay.

One dealer on Instagram says they are taking deposits now and they will most likely arrive in January in limited numbers. (PCP Motorsports, claims to be the highest volume dealer in norcal).

Dustin echos a key point that I believe. This will get a new generation into standup riding and make racing grow and the sport over all grow. Glad to hear about all these deposits

I called Riva Yamaha in FL since they are selling 2021 models tomorrow. The Superjet will be there, but not available for purchase. A $500 deposit (non refundable) will get you in line for a production model which the sales guy indicated should start rolling out in November
