Freestyle Fixitman's Flatwater Build

I imagine you'll hit your mark. Motor mount mounts, bonding adhesive and inserts. I would assume no foam if your going light. My foam in tray always adds 6-8 lbs

Trying to figure out if we're putting foam in or not, I personally don't think it's necessary since I'm not known to sink skis lol and it would save me money and time on a scupper but we'll see what ends up being the best way

I'd say foam it or pool noodle it up. There might be that one time something goes wrong.

I've always went the easy way and added weigh as a sacrifice for some boyancy and underlaminate strength. I would make my mind up which way I was to go before I laid up top deck. I usually go light layups on tray if I foam it. You'll be getting higher air and harder lands.

The foam I use generally dosnt add much weight, I order it in 2 parts from my marine distributor and I can get it in different densities

Either way you slice it. Your hull is lighter allready and that in itself will handle much better for your style. The layup is strong. Option could be to put footholds in and layer Kevlar across whole tray into holds. It'll give you some flex without break

Thought about making some thin carbon ribs that run under the holds, almost like thin bulk heads but foam might be less work

Lay up 2 carbon panels that can be trimmed and epoxied to each side of the pump box to support the tray directly under your heels. Fit pink board insulation up and around your scupper tube and exhaust, then add a little pour foam through the tray. Was the lightest/ strongest combination I could come up with. Joe knows what he's doing. That carbon can flex a little bit before it breaks. ;)

I like the way you think sir! Definitely putting that one into serious consideration

Finally had time to get something done today, pump inserts are set and sealed along with bulk head inserts, ride plate and everything glued together and straight, hopefully plumbing next weekend followed by foaming the tray area

If you want to make your life easy put the water lines high on the bulkhead!

Just saying on previous skis they were low and on my dvx they were high and it was sooo much nicer
I see what your saying, I usually put the hose on the lines before anything else then it doesn't matter where they are they've already been attached and clamped but I might move them up

so the hull should be damn near ready to be foamed and bonded after tomorrow, engine parts being shipped out from xscream first thing monday, now im stuck with the problem of decinding between 2 things I dont necessarily NEED right now but really would like to have to complete the whole setup, i decided to move to a 155 pump on this build so Im trying to decide whether i should buy a 155 mag and stick with stock charging ignition again or go used stock 155 and run total loss then get a mag later on when I have cash....
