well, if you ever get a chance to pull footholds out of a ski that Wammer setup, you dont have to worry about foam being wet!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If only I did not have to relocate my footholds to the rear:banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:

can you say DRY

First time I saw ping pong balls being discussed was on the other site and the one and only waderhawk brought it up. I gave it some thought and then it slipped my mind. I'd like to see someone have a go at it.

my bad. I retract my earlier statement and appologize. That unoriginal dirtbag should have given credit to the originator of the idea when he brought it up in that thread that I was reading. Sorry Nick.

i thought about going ping-pong balls + foam
- rotax brought this up a while ago.. i can't see "why not" to do this

i thought about going "The little air packets that come inside shipping boxes" + foam
- my idea.. however, i imagine the bags will pop eventually, and i will have large voids in my sides/bottom

i thought about going the way freestylegeek did
- i'm afraid that the foam won't seal up all the voids 100% because of the insulation in there..

right now, i'm back to leaning towards filling the whole thing up with the 2part expanding foam i got from fiberlay again....

dunno.. i will watch this thread like a mofugga for ideas tho!

so, now we got 2 test skis!

our conversation sparked an interest for me... there just has to be a better way....

This is a very new idea and I am taking suggestions... Right now I plan on carbon reinforcement... ya know, like the insides of the engine compartment... The rear and inside pump area will be fine... foam won't do much there anyway, as far as structure goes. It's probably the most rigid area. The tray and holds will need to be strong!!!!

keep any suggestions flowing...

what about the whole vaccuum bag sealing thing? doesnt carbon lose some of its strength if its not vac sealed?
