My turf. Mite as well post it. It didn't turn out as well as i would have liked but it's 1000 times better than my last turf job so at least I'm in proving.

Getting the logo and writing to stay aligned was a huge pain in the butt. After a couple failed attempts I ended up placing some wax paper between the pad and turf until I had it aligned and then slid out the wax paper and stuck it down.

Seems like the majority of people are doing it in two pieces tho? Is it just because it's easier?
I just thought the goal was one single piece, no seams. And it seems a lot of the reputable turfers aren't doing that.

I think you did an excellent job on your freak. I wasn't putting down your turf job at all or saying mine was better cuz it isn't.
I think rose was just asking why people have trended towards having separate pieces on the top and sometimes the bottom of the holds. I have only turfed 5 skiis so I am far from an expert.
Using the two pieces is a bit easier and less stressful. I've done both and getting a single piece with no wrinkles or tears is difficult...not impossible. This was my first two piece job on the gunwales. I think from here on out Ill do it this way. Way back when, someone gave me some knowledge and they said: "The best turf job is one YOU didn't have to do." I hate turf above all other jobs on a ski. MAJOR PITA.
