Because trim makes a huge difference on a short ski..

My ski doesn't ride nose high unless I really want it to.. You'd be surprised.. I never have an issue with the nose being pointed high. Have you ridden a rip other than matts?Trim would not be the best idea on a ski that is already pointed at the sky....
