Freestyle For real?!?!~Rosie's Official WDK R.I.P build thread ~

That held the cable. You only need to hold it in the direction of pulling the cable. If for some reason you have issues with it pushing out, put a set screw in it or just crimp it a little with pliers.

Is this the "Official WDK R.I.P build thread" or the "Official diy trim system thread"

I don't think anyone is bitching about having a diy trim. Imo the execution of the diy cable holder is why he's catching guff.

@AdzUK messaged me and explained his setup, and @RivMan confirmed it with his previous post. With that threaded holder, the cable can't move from the force of the jet pump. And what @speedysprocket said about only needing to stop it in one direction makes sense, finally. Took me a while to figure it out... But, now that I know, I'll be able to make it just as reliable as a thrust system for another 15-20$ or so.

Only took 3 people

I will always be skeptical of everything until I'm able to make sense of it myself, and then I make my decision. Yes, a few people helped but @AdzUK took the time to message me on Facebook and explain everything in great detail including where to get everything, without me ever asking for his help.

After some flip attempts Saturday, my battery came unstrapped so I've gotta pull the headpipe and fix that.
@JetFiend hooked me up with some gopro mounts, so there should be some footage soon :)

Dude if you run an aluminum bar or something your cable won't break. I've been running the same cable on a few skis for 2 years

You mean just an aluminum bar with a hole drilled the size of the cable housing just deep enough for it to rest in and not go through?

So I fixed the battery issue. I don't know how but I didn't realize that the battery could move back and forth about an inch in the tray.. Fixed that with some padding. Also knotted the strap so it took almost all my strength to get it on. It's not coming undone again. With a B pipe it sucks getting to the battery. Had to take off one cooling line, remove stinger from coupler, slide waterbox forward, and move the headpipe and chamber backwards and tuck it down a little. Then I could finally get to it lol..

seems like you did it the hard way....next time, take out three head pipe bolts, undo chamber clamp, rotate headpipe forward and up. Install in reverse fashion.

And jeezus, would you clean up your sh*t....do you even like that thing? It looks like its been assembled for 10 years and been left to rot. Ive bought barn find skis cleaner than that.

I wouldn't have had enough room to get my whole arm in there to get the strap on if I did it that way.. At least I don't think so.
Quit exaggerating, it just needs a good scrubbing. But, I'd rather ride right now than clean. Unlike you we have a limited riding season..

You would have less room with the headpipe completely out of the ski compared to leaving it in there where you have it? Am I missing something?

With my new coupler it was near impossible to get on with my dad's help and a coupler tool. No way I'm taking it off if I absolutely don't have to lol
