Freestyle For sale due to injury:( My 2013 Hurricane build

My guess is just doing tricks in general. I've had quite a few failed flips and have been under the ski for a while keeping the ski running. Then when I'm riding away I can feel the extra weight of the water, but the scupper dumps it very fast. I did a silly long fountain a couple days ago just to see how much water I could take on. It did take on water, but no more than my last two hulls would and the scupper dumped it fast and it didn't swamp out. I use a single bilge for swamped out in the lake emergencies and haven't had to use it yet. I have zero experience with the duck bills though. Maybe others will chime in?

I have no foam in it so it was as simple as cut a hole just smaller than the diameter of the scupper, put some silicone on and around it and pound it in the hull:)
Thanks for the reply ! yea just wasn't sure if there was a tube from the bulkhead or if it was just open under the tray ,also wasn't sure if there was a tube if it was the correct diameter.looks like a great "personal touch " with great function to boot .i definitely get water in my hull when doing stabs or rolls (standard) it sounds like a good way to get rid of water fast ....

Yea Burton I think that's the only place it can get in. I have no other breathers except for the RRP tubes and they are plenty for breathing so no need for hood vent tubes. I think that the way the hood strap cinches down that it seals the rear of the hood really well but kinda lifts the front a bit and leaks a bit. Still works great now. I was just out in 2-4 foot surf yesterday and worked like a champ! This hull is awesome!!!!

I'm running an xmetal pole with hood breathers. But regardless when the hull is up side down the water is displacing the air the engine is consuming while its running. So the hood seal might leak a tad? But mainly the water is coming in through my pole breathers and hood breathers when up side down in the water. Also air is going out the scupper possibly in that same situation.
