Freestyle freestyle hulls, best and worst and everything in between

GET OUT AND BUM SOME RIDES! Ride several hulls before you decide. I have ridden A/M hulls that I hated only to hear the next guy say how great they are. I have also been shocked at how many people offer their opinions on the ride and handling of something they have never actually ridden.

Guys that want the best? You mean the most expensive? Because last I checked BOB won the AM Freestyle at Worlds, finishing ahead of SuperFreak, Rickter and EME...

if you think some 360 helicopters are the shiz then keep thinking that.. you won WF due to conditions that worked for you....

come on you really think if the conditions had been decent like the pro's had you would be #1?

would have been Alex, Lucas & Jack and not in that order but those would have been your top 3... those guys had a bag of tricks, not just 360 's done over & over & over

Easy Tiger LOL,

I do think conditions played a big part but I have seen LIL DK ride better too soooooooo.......

Really in better conditions it would have been a better comp. all around, but the conditions were what they were.

On a side note I would have judged it differently.

Im in that mood today to biotch LOL!!!!

I still take offense to the ROK guys are cheap remark LOL!!!!!

little D won WF fair and square IMO...A great rider will do what he has to do to win in any conditions.

and I don't think the hull had anything to do with it either!

Honestly though:
Carbon ROK, light adgile and not too nose light at all. Recovers well, slides well, hook up could be better and the nose does have pearl tendencies. Same goes for the glass ROK only not as adgile or light obviously. Also, landing high jumps is a little rough. Seems to hit the tail hard, much smother nosing in.
This hull is definately priced fair, if you can get one. Fit and finish is nice and strength on the glass hulls is very good. The carbon hulls are not really avail, only 3 made and I own 2 of them (the last 2 made)

FS2- for a long heavy hull it rides light and recovers nice. It also has nice handling, hook up and does not pearl. But it is not as adgile as I like for flatwater, supr fun boat chaser and surf hull.
Pricey IMO but when you take it out of the box you see why, they are GORGEOUS, the finish is incredible. Strength and how that finish holds up?????? The newer ones seem better than the older ones but I have not owned one or been around one long enough to see how they hold up under a weekly beeting.
The footholds and nice pole braclet with tubes and all are an awesome added bonous, I love the adjustable holds, the feel great.

XFR- nose light but heavy over all. Adgile and hooks up and turns nice. recovery is stable but incredibly nose light to me so its round and round till ya sneak up on the nose and get her back on level water.
same as FS2 on finish, price and value.

Q8- fun , light, super strong and adgile BUT, recover SUCKS and handling is sub par.
Pricey and fit and finish compared to WDK or Rickter are not great, but UNREAL STRONG and light for a glass hull. For just a flatwater boat I would say a used one would be great. Not a surf or boat chaser IMO.

Carbon SuperFreak Baddass- great recovery, great hook up, great handling, super light feeling but still handles really well.
high priced for poor fit and finnish IMO, cheesey inserts, needs alot of prep and definately needs painted. cannot speek for the strength as of yet, the hoods seem a little week from what I have seen and the batwings at the rear bondline are quite flimsey but overall they seem to be holding up nice.

BOB- cant say I have ridden one, have sen them in action and after some ride time and can say the GEN 1 was not impressive to me, have not seen the GEN 2 or 3 or 4 but the fact that they have them means they are progressing and making changes for the good it seems.

Stunt- LOL, no need to comment really, but I will.... JUNK IMO
Its a give and take really, a pretty boat is nice but may not handle the BEST, a cheap hull thats made well is awesome but again, its not the best handling hull avail.. Buy the best handling , light weigh, seemingly strong hull and pay dearly while getting a hull that looks used or pourly made. To me, the SuperFreak is the best hull out right now even with its finish issues. It is however gonna cost ya by the time its water ready.

All of the above is from my experience riding my own or a friends boat and by no means to be taken as Gospel and if you own one of these and disagree with what I have said then I hope its for the better for you and that you will comment.

the reason the sf is priced that way is to make it attainable.

i love my freak. initial setup is a little time consuming, but after that it's like any other hull. actually yesterday superwetbrett drag raced me on his -6 hull, and he beat me when i was on a 1100 raider. top speed and killed me on accel. i'm not sure there are many aftermarket hulls capable of that.

here's a review from Zeski25 on the WCf Vision 2.0 (cris from wamiltons)
Watercraft Factory Vision 2.0 First Impression

I had the pleasure of meeting with Steve of Watercraft Factory today in sunny South Floridas Markham Park.

I thought it would be a good idea to write follow up of my personal impression of the hull. My first impression of the hull is it's a well thought out aftermarket freestyle boat upon viewing in April of this year. I never had the chance to personally ride it until today. The boat has a beautiful yet durable gel coat racing yellow finish complimented well by matching WCF graphics "I'm not sure if they come with the boat or not". It had next to the perfect power plant imaginable with a DASA powered 1000, MSD TL, PF Dry Pipe "sounded amazing", and a magnum pump etc etc

This hull is a great addition to the AM freestyle hulls out there. The motor hit and the pump hooked up. The boat was tuned extremely well and the DASA motor was RIPPING. There was absolutely no complaints in that department. It was nothing short of a great handling boat and extremely stable! At high speeds and hard landings the boat rode great for a -4 inch hull. I love the tray design being wider and the gunnels being lowered. I'm not a big fan of the shark tip hydroturf, I'm going to stick with the original Hydroturf having the best traction. My favorite part was the foot holds are actually lowered to help stability when performing and landing tricks. Your feet are literally parallel to the pump versus on top. This gives the rider a huge stability advantage over most hulls. Unlike most freestyle boats on the market today this boat actually turns! YES IT TURNS! It's has a great balance of traction, looseness, and rocker so your not riding on a bubble. MOST important this is a quality boat I know Steve test and rides his machines before they go to their new homes. The finish, the inserts, and the reinforcement was top notch quality. If you're I'n the market for a new hull this year I would seriously consider the Vision 2.0

Last but not least I have to thank Steve for letting me ride his ski. He was out there with everyone else today shredding it up and throwing rolls. Not only does he build them but he actually rides them. Spread the word the new Vision 2.0 is a U.S built hull that's here to stay.
