I didn't like how flimsy the chin pad was, I need something stout for hood tricks and if I hit my helmet on the pad.
Added a few layers of carbon then bagged
I put a couple coats of clear to give it a little shine.
Twill is so perdy
The pad is so stout now, I could stand on it
Returfed in aqua
About done with the carbon/kevlar coupler cover
Hood latch area was pretty thin, thick enough for a latch, but since I'm running my limiting rope there, I could possibly rip out my D-ring if i ever over extended the pole on a failed aerial trick.
5 layers of 20oz carbon, it'll be good and strong now.
I noticed the front tray had a aluminum plate to beef up the thin wall, it had come de-glued, I could re-glue it, but I found out it weighs almost 1 lbs, so I might as well beef it up with carbon instead, it'll save weight and make it much stronger then that aluminum plate.
