Lookin good!! I like the way the hood covers the indentations and the pole bracket. Are you gonna put anything on the inside of those to hold them? Seems like if you did a sub or something, and the water caught those it would rip them off.

That's the way the Octane hood is and they seem to do fine. I've done pretty much the same thing on my squarenose project. I think the key is to make it pretty thick. The octane is probably about 3/16" thick in that area.

By the way, that ski is looking awesome. It keeps me motivated to work on mine.

yes, even though the hood extensions are pretty thick, we are going to put some hooks that ride under the lip of the boat.....the whole sub thing was my concern as well,,,,,but they'll be on their nice and tight...

I freaking love this project!

I have a 95 X2 hull i did a repair on once that I want to gut and make ito a custom ski. This gives me the motivation to do it!

Also thanks for the picture updates! When you guys get this ski all done, you will appreciate it a lot more.

That pole/chin pad rocks too. At first I was kind of not into it. Now after some sanding/grinding, it is awesome!

KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
