from what i recall about gator grip it is softer than HT but not as "grippy"

i'd think that soft nature would make it more prone to tear easier too?

Nope. It's quality stuff. Love it.
Make your choice, both HT and GG make great turf and i actually prefer the feel of the GG. I would even cover a pillow with GG. It also stands to the salt water and UV. I had a boat with GG that sat on a floating dock in salt water all week, was ridden hard for both days an the weekends for 4 seasons and the GG was still looking brand new when I sold the ski.

Hydro-turf supports me very well, and i am very appreciative of this. They are one of my sponsers this year.Almost every freeride/competion i attend they sponser it.Mike @ hydro-turf is a great guy along with all the people that work down there.

Some people here need to take out whatever is stuck up there butt and stuff it in there mouth so they will quit causing immature little beotch fights!

Now enough post dumping for gils good thread.

My buddy just got some of the Gator Grip. It seems like it has less traction and the cobblestone look is not very pretty IMO. It was cheaper though and thats why he bought it. I'll stick with HT.

where did he find the gator grip cheaper than hydroturf?

Alabama strikes again....

Hydro Turf is a great company that sells a quality product that is made in the USA. They also support our sport like no other company I can think of. Pretty much every Freeride comp or Freeride event they have sponsored and or made possible.

To some guy from Alabama who just buys stuff to brag about how much he spends and can't ride, that probably doesn't mean much.

To real riders who love freeride and the sport it means a lot...

hydroturf has too much grip for my tastes. I like to pour a little Quicksilver TCW-3 on it to take some bite away.
