Here's what Gator Grip does. This is my FX-1 and this is after maybe 10 good rides.
I just bought this ski 2 months ago and the the Gator grip looked mint when I got it, but this is what it did. I dont really know how old this GG was though. The black stuff just starts peeling off like spider webs!
If you ever looked at a cross cut piece of GG, it has 3 layers of color. Like on mine, the main color is purple then there is a thin layer of white, then black. Then it looks like the top is cut off, then melted down.
IMO, Hydro-turf is much better just by way of its design.
Gator grip is fancy and wild looking, but not really practical.

See the GG I saw had the cobble stones peeling off. But it looked old and like it had sat out in the dun for a long time. HT turns to dust if left out in the sun for extender periods of time.
