Custom/Hybrid Gen2 BOB build... Finally...

There was a bob in upstate NY that landed the hood came off and it went down. They had to pay a dive team to find it.

Just cheaper to buy straps over a dive team.

I'm sure the bill for the dive team was much uglier than any hood strap setup. I'd tie a bunch of used socks together to hold my hood down before I'd want to pay that bill! I got a Jeep stuck in a sandy river that happened to be a forest preserve in the suberbs of Chicago. I came back for it the next day and apparently I unwillingly hired a diving team to hook straps to it and 3 tow trucks to pull it out and tow it away plus trespassing tickets! That was hard to swallow on a college budget! Hood straps are like winches (cheap insurance)

Odd, we never heard that one..

Im starting to think you guys dont hear a good amount. Or maybe you just hear the good. Not that I am saying this is the bad. Im just telling the truth and what I am seeing in front of me. Isnt that the feed back you would want?

Did you know about the cold fusion batter trays not fitting in the hull? and it didnt sit flat it need 3 washers on 1 mount and 1 on 1 of the other 3. Having to cut weld and shim a battery tray to fit a hull isnt somthing I have ever had to do before.

Dont you run a cold fusion batt tray in your own ski?
I know you dont make the hulls but you seem to be the spokes person for them. and i was just giving you that info. Im sure when the guy sank his ski we wasnt rushing to tell you "since you dont make the hulls"

Take the good with the bad man. It looks like the gen3 has worked on a ton of these issues.

Nope, we made a composite battery tray for the 12cell Ballistics battery for my ski. We've never used the Cold-Fusion battery tray, we use OEM Super Jet battery trays for our builds. No cutting required.

LOL @ this, why is Mark building your ski for you if you are advertising being a jetski mechanic on craigs list?

The bob gen two that sank was my old white and red. The guy i sold it to tried a barrel roll and blow the hood off. I have know idea how that happened because we flipped and rolled it all over the ocean and no problems. Either it wasnt hooked right or the strap came loose.
