Yeah my hood weighs 9lbs as well but WTF on your hull weight. Mine is 90lbs with pole bracket, pump shoe, paint, and turf. I'm sure I've got enough to justify 5-10 lbs more but 30? I know you have that bulkhead in there too. Wonder if Goose made your hull with less fiberglass...

Dunno dude , it floored me when i read you were at 90... I have bulkhead foam , plumbing and an exhaust tube.....

Did you use lead paint? LOL

Yeah that's a good point. I don't have foam, a battery box, fuel tank mounts, or any of that stuff either. Hopefully both hulls hold up...

this last week after I glued the hull together I flipped the ski and filled the bondline with epoxy/ milled fiber mix. then sanded and tried to level out the bond line as much as possible.

I didnt get the ski painted yet . its definately on this week , I have set up a temp spray booth in my shop , and wet sanded the piss out of the hull and hood. its still a little wavy but the waves are smooth.

I have finished sandblasting and painting the pump.

I filled the top of the gunnals with polystryene. I have decided to use A/B foam around the footholds area. because they are carbon fiber , and I feel it will make them feel a little more solid.

I am still trying to figure out the routing of the control cables from the pole to the hull. to try and avoid a pinch.

My cables seem to be fine. They are routed over the waterbox and between the battery and tank. Then they all run under the engine and feel smooth. Even if you look at the picture of my ski where I show the waterbox, it looks like a pinch but you have to remember that the cable doesn't bend at the hull, it bends about 2-3 engine above it where the pole is.

looking good. I want to paint my pump, its the stock ugly green, but i have no money to get it blasted!

Give it a light scuff with something 150-300 grit sand paper and it'll stick just fine. It just this with my engine but gave it a bit heavier sanding on the corrosion areas and it's held up fine. Sand blasting is awesome but totally unnecessary for the kind of stuff we paint. If it starts flaking, it's hidden by the ride plate anyway.

I understand , your cables look great . with that AC pole.

My prob is that I am running a team bill pole, and where he suggests that where you run the cables from the bottom of the pole , they should enter the hull about where my fuel fill is located. ( I am not moving that) I showed pics of my prob on post #316

I have considered moving the cable hole to the bottom of the pole , OR at the very bottom center of the right pole. and then the cables would enter the hull accordingly.
