So did anyone get this kit done yet. I have a superjet now that has 62T cylinders out to 760, done over stock 38 carbs, high comp westcost head, and factory B pipe. I think somtime this summer or maybe next fall is when I really want to step up power. Now that this kit is out I dont know if the group k kit is the way to go or do I try to go witha stroker setup? I have herd all different price numbers on stoker motors. The only shortblock stroker I have looked at yet is by thrust innovations and I think I runs right around $4800. Anyone want to point me in the right place to shop around for a storker?

This thread is about the GroupK motor.
I have moved the other posts to their own thread here

Please keep this one on topic.

I think that the good think about GroupK is that for them power is not everything. From the multiple readings from Harry I get the impression that:
1. Sheer power is not key
2. They ARE cost conscious: if it is not needed, dont buy/do it. Personally I am not sure what is the big fuss about DASA if they cost 2 or 3 times more and usable power can be similar. Of course if you want billet everything.....
3. Relaiablity is crucial

Just my 2 cents..

IDOK, I agreeethat there are better and more expensive setups, but for 1/3 of price and for maybe 85% of DASA power output , this BB kit from group K surely sounds nice. Obvoisuly, as we say, "paper will accept anything" - it is the matter of direct comparison on water....

I don't know about 1/3 less, if you price out everything you have to buy for the Group K motor your getting up there close to a Billet BB. I started getting all the stock parts to build this package, it sounds cheap at first.
I went with another package for just a little $$.
