Handle Poles?

there is a ton of machine work involved in this titan pole while alot of the concepts are the same it really looks picked through to fix some of other poles issues and besides this is really a piece of art . great job again sprocket

I called X Metal not too long ago and they said they have them in stock...
I'm confused....

I have been looking to replace my cracked handlepole since early July, they were out then and I was seriously looking at the RRP, until I got an email from Xmetal on the 28th saying they were starting to ship them again. I ordered the adjustable one for my SXR, good price including the steering system, bars, pole and chin pad. should arrive next week.

I agree completely. And having the billet ends rather then the Cast crap the RRP uses it is most definetly stronger.

My only question would be the Weight of the Titan?

If it were me (balling on a budget) I would more then likely still choose the X-metal pole. And now that the ends are billet rather then Cast on that pole I feel it is far better then the old ones. And the adjustability is just icing on the cake. It has plenty of a adjustability imo.

The only thing that would make the X metal poles better would be if they were anodized. Salt a powder coat is a bad combo. Salt will get under neath the powder eventually.

I must say that in the past 2-3 years UK products for freestyle are really catching up and in many cases are already much better than renowned US companies. Both the ATP and Titan poles look grand. I recently got some UK parts and was VERY impressed. MY 02...

the new style Xmetal adjustable poles ARE anodized

Yea thats what I had thought untill someone said they were waiting to come back from powder coat. lol

That settles it, that XM pole is lbs lighter then the RRP and im sure the Titan, built tuff, and is the most bang for buck out there. Good job Pat! No wonder they are having trouble keeping them in stock. :arms:

Yea the more I think about it if I was buying new it would be between X metal (1) and AC (2). I have yet to see a cracked AC in all my years of riding. They were way ahead of their time IMO. And polished ones look killer IMO.

They are the best bang for the buck....

I never understood the need to adjust so it is not an issue for me. I like a -6 SJ pole (which works out to like -8 SXR pole I believe) on a SXR and -5 SJ pole on a SJ.

I guess I could see using it if I had it maybe.....like going from waves to buoys..

So out of you with adjustable poles: How often do you change the length of it?
I like a stock reinforced pole, never had an issue with a broken one. But I know the length I like, seems like a set it and forget it type of thing. Are you guys adjusting the length that often?

i have played around with the length of my pole.. made it simpler to set up when i first got it so i could decide what length i wanted instead of saying i want a miuns whatever pole.. then discovering it was too long still or even too short.

i think once you find the length you like it will be locked down at that

So nobody seems to know the weight of the Titan pole. Not sure how thick the tubes are but being stainless, it would have to be double the weight of the alloy tubes of the RRP pole (assuming it's stainless exhaust tubing that's used)

Weight is a big factor for me anyway....with an aftermarket hull, you want a pole that is as light as possible so it doesn't make your ski top heavy...if you get me!

I don't know about the weight but the Xmetal is powder coated, got mine about a week ago, just waiting for the weather to turn bad or my stocker to break before I rip into it.

The Superfreak pole is likely the lightest pole you can buy. (I read that Goose claimed he won't make anymore poles, due to the number of unsatisfied customers and headache)

X-metals are around 9bs, which is similar to AC and Rocket poles, too.

Yea, I am looking into the XMetal for my winter project very soon. How does the Black Powder coat hold up with the salt though, or is blk paint and clear coat better?

I had heard the new ones are anodized (also heard they where powdercoated so who knows which) But I do know that the powdercoating does not work well in salt water. It will oxidize the aluminum under the PC then flake it all off.
