the melted hose was before I had it adjusted to get the 160 headpipe temps.

its a fine line between melting stuff and too cold!

Get rid of that pipe and get you a Speedwerx pipe. There are no adjustments and it will turn 7800 if the ski has the power. All you have to do it bolt it in and hang on. There will be more power there than any pipe you can run.

And while you are looking for pipes. Find me a Speedwerx freestyle version. I think you would want a race version because you like the RPM's.

But about your pipe. IF 140 degrees chamber temps are melting hoses then you have a problem with your temp gun. 140 is really cold. when you pop the hood after WOT running the water should dance off of the pipe. Not stick and boil. Water dancing temps are around 300+ IF you are just braping around then the water should stick to the pipe and boil. AND it will be LOUD remember my ski....LOL

Ok I get it. I thought that 140ish was melting...

Mine is really dry at 3/4 open on top and the rest closed. And just a shade less than 3/4 on top and 1/8 bottom is just right. But 3/4 top 1/2 bottom is so wet My ski was quiet.

But as a general rule I was told all screws combined should equal 1 turn. But I haven't had a chance to tune mine since I am still suffering from water problems I am just going by the specs I got from Art so far and they work.

ok, an update.

adding the restrictors made the pipe work as it should.

my theory is that there was too much water going straight over board out of my head, and when I restricted that line, it increased the pressure into the head pipe, so the screws could mist, or spray, instead of dribble.

I beleive that is why the only adjustments were basically TOO wet, or overheating.

Now, its pretty crisp, really dry and raspy sounding, and making good power.

In fact, I do think I need to put some more fuel in my main circuit, its SCREAMING big RPMS when the pump comes out of the water, or of I pin it on smooth water.

thanks everyone for the help, I feel like its FINALLY running the way it should.

and... there feels like there might be more power than the other pipe had.. its hard to tell for sure, its very subjective. I do not think most folks would notice any difference, other than the increased exhaust volume.

About damn time...... I might try a restrictor in my line to build some pressure. I am pretty sure I would be disappointed with the pipe also if I had soemthing to judge it by but since I went from a limited with a dry pipe to this stroker and the b pipe I have nothing to judge it by.

Good going glad you got it
