I'm no engineer but doesn't the length of the hauler (lever arm) plus the weight of an SXR and Superjet WAY exceed the tongue rating on that hitch? 400lb SXR + 4' of lever = 2,000ftlb at the hitch?

We are lookin at all of this and we will also have a signed disclaimer for this unit. Customer asked for us to build this and he is testing it. Yamanube.. there is a calculation for this .. just have to do more research and ill post it up . Also remember that all towing and hitch accessories must be built with a minimum safety factor of 2:1 ( D.O.T regulation i believe) . Essentially this means whatever the rated capacity labeled on the receiver.. its actually double that. We (Ez-Ski) havent made a decision about bring this out as a shelf item, however we will build just about anything a customer wants. ( just finished a carrier for a family with a special needs child .. to transport her electric chair behind her dads truck because they couldnt afford the $50,000 mobility VAN.)

I bought the ez ski hauler. The truck, boat, and hauler are new additions. I tried it yesterday just to see if the sag was bad. Maybe i'll add air bags to help it out.

looks like everything worked out perfectly.. and yes a lot of people choose to go with helper bags in the rear. depending of course on what vehicle is telling sometimes they can just do a helper spring if it is leaf springs or if you have an HD truck nothing is usually needed.

I think for $80 it's a good idea. A guy commented that he was able to do it with the wheels off.

Loving the minimalism!

I have a bumper to go over the top too. I need to cut the old receiver out.....and weld this one in it's place. It has more support going up the frame rails, rated for 400 lbs. Should be plenty sturdy. Really only worried about how light the steering might get.

Saw some kook embarrassing the community. Poor truck. Don't try this at home, kids.
