Threw together this one for myself, all stainless steel and tig welded. Gonna add turf later on, put pvc on it and it a little to slick lol

I put this hauler together a couple months back. I wanted a setup where I could roll the ski outside and load / unload it myself. The main tube is 1/4" wall and slides into a 3/16" wall tube that the bunks are welded to. This keeps it narrow enough to fit through my basement door. The bunks are sch. 40 steel pipe that fits snugly into a 2" PVC pipe. I welded 3/8" grade 8 nuts to 1/8" x 1 1/4" flat stock which was flush welded on each end of the pipe. These hold on the nose bracket, as well as hold the hauler onto the cart. I made a set of pinch plates to reduce slop in the receiver and tapped the main tube for 2, 3/8" bolts that reduce slop in the bunks outer sleeve. Each end of the pipe has a 5/8" hole on the bottom where I used zip ties to hold the PVC on, this also doubles as a tie down point if I needed it. The hauler is only primered to keep it from rusting since I wanted to spend the last bit of nice weather riding rather than working.

Has anyone setup a rear hitch hauler using a few inches of drop? Wondering if I can still open the hatch on a 2007-2013 Suburban(Tahoe) without taking the ski off the hauler.

Thanks! Pics would be great. I have an SXR, so she's fat on top :)

we actually make an adjustable carrier that has 11 in of downward travel and if you flip it upside down and has 10in of upward travel depending on if your vehicle is lifted or lowered and it will also clear the hatch as seen in the pictures

Has anybody experienced issues with a truck with dual exhaust (or any straight back exhaust for that matter) and paint/graphics on their ski? I never put much thought into it before but the exhaust on my truck points right at the bottom of my hull. I am curious what kind of temps the hull sees on long trips.

great question, the only reply that I have to that is that this will be our 10th year of business and I have never ever had a single person report an issue as far as exhaust temps or discoloration of hull or even as far as having Messi residue on their hull.
