Home Made Vin's Vs. Swaping Vin's

So is it also ok to buy a car without a VIN? Altered odometer? Why not? None of the governments business. lol.

Actually, it is OK and happens daily.
Some of those cars go to junk yards and are sold for parts, some get exported, some get used to rebuild damaged cars, some are used by the Law Enforcement agencies,...........

Did I just hit that poor dead horse ??:silly:

Your not buying a CAR or even a Jet Ski!!!! You are buying a PART! It just happens to be the biggest part of the ski. Would you buy a motor or a pump that didnt come on the ski you are putting it in? No different, it is a replacement part and stated "NO VIN#'s or Title included! I have purchased a truck bed and put it on my existing truck. I simply continued to use the original VIN#'s that came on my truck!!!! Is that wrong too, should I have checked with the local authorities???? :fing02:
I am an advocite of less government involvement the better. If you do get your ski taken or a fine then I guess YOU made the choice to purchase the WRONG part for YOUR particular application. Doesnt mean the seller is in the wrong, you knew what you were purchasing.

He simply isnt selling what you need bro!!! Doesnt make it wrong to sell it.

I am not buying it. SJETRIDER just jumped in to defend as most due for good guys. I thought the topic was a dead horse myself.

This happens alot... I get lots of attention from the Waterdawg supporters. I have not shown Waterdawg love in the past. Also this topic is close to home for many of them. Lots of superjet HINs on Waterdawg hulls.

Not much of a waterdawg supporter now days and it had nothing to do with who you support, just the fact that it's a good thing for most and it hurts no one with common sense to know how to read! Bashing ANY seller for no reason is BS IMO. Jeff had his share from peeps that didnt even purchase from him as well. I have my share of issues with my REV but I fail to see where bashing fixes the issue. I dont know and have never dealt with Virgin, but I do know that what he is selling is a fair deal and is fully disclosed!

Here is pics of my 90 model WDK mess!!!!!

its taking a while, but Jeff is working with me and trying to make this right. :fing02:

I will drop it now, sorry to bring it back up when it was dropped. Just for the record though, I WOULD purchase one of these hulls and swap existing VINS from the one I was replacing IN A MINUTE if I needed or wanted to. No different the my 90 model REV. Just another mod PART IMO!!!!

If you think it's right or not, swapping titles from one vehicle to another is illegal in all 50 states unless performed by a state certified repair shop. The tag is there to identify that vehicle for it's entire existance. Think of it like a social security number.
Replacing the hull is legal, but should be performed in a legal manor. The way most do it is improper, but as long as it's under the radar nobody gets into trouble.

In all honesty I have done it only when swapping a destroyed hull with a replacement hull after that the old hulls were destroyed, along with sending in the old vin tag to the state, all perfectly legal. Some of the stuff I have seen here is not legal, doesn't matter to me one way or the other,I just CMA.
