its simple to get a 1000cc motor. just fork over $5000-8000 jk! i believe the max 61x SAFE bore is like 83mm or so. but i do have a buddy whos is bored to 84mm

Two ways to increase the displacement:

1. Bigger bores (larger pistons) - stock is 81mm, aftermarket goes to 91mm (?)
2. Bigger crank strokes (stroker cranks) - stock is 68mm, aftermarket goes up to 84mm

Both options require aftermarket parts as you get bigger.(cylinders, cranks, pistons).

Displacement is calculated as D = bore*bore*3.1416*2*stroke
Combine the two options, and you get up to 1093cc.
There might be piston options larger than 91mm out there.

For a small stroker, you can get an OEM crank modified. A few years ago, I owned a +7mm crank that was based on an OEM crank with aftermarket rods and relocated pins.
The general answer for cranks is probably: Yes, you'll need an aftermarket crank.

You can big-bore OEM cylinders. Some shops go to 86mm bores, and at least one goes to 90mm on an OEM cylinder (GroupK).
If you are using a stroker bigger than +5mm, you will need an aftermarket cylinder.
Generally, if you want big, you'll want an aftermarket cylinder.

As it has been said already.....

upwards to 1000 cc with a stock case and aftermarket cyl is what is safe

1100 cc+ with an aftermarket billet case.

To get that displacement, yes. But to get a motor you have to add carbs, pipe, prop, probably pump mods... It starts to get expensive when you realize all the other stuff you need to get the motor to drink and breath right, and to get the power connected to the water.

people learn by asking questions

90MM piston, +10MM stroke crank, long Kawi rods will net you 900+cc.

Sleeve is custom for the cylinder, an aftermarket cylinder not stock

Will take your 60 HP motor to upwards of 160 HP if you run it on race gas.

Better be ready for this kind of power.

Honestly, if you are new, unless you are a prodigy, it is better to work up to that level of power or you will just spend alot of time swimming and you won't have much fun.

Better to start off cheap and work your way up.

You can have your stock cylinder ported for sure.

Add bigger pistons to your stock cylinder at this time if you want.

Bump the compression up, if you are up for race gas, bump the compression up a little more.

Get a Factory pipe for it (and learn how to adjust it.)

Aftermarket carbs if you want to spend the money.

"Total loss" ignition if you want to deal with the downsides.

Different impeller(s)

This will get you to 70% of what you are asking, CHEAPLY.

The pipe(and ignition) you can carry over when you step up, your stock cylinder could be sold off to offset some of your cost when you do.

Be careful biting off more than you can chew.

Listen to Brian here - being way overpowered is just plain scary and it's no fun riding a ski that's in control of you rather than the other way around.
