how long has your jetworks battery lasted?

thats amazing, ive dropped at least one of my pc625 on the driveway with no adverse effects.

My son is using the one out of his boat to power a small guitar amp in his room for the last several months, and carting it out to the garage and charging it when needed.

I stuck it in a ski and it started right up the other day.

they are hit and miss I guess.

that would be typical of many things, sucks to increase in price and get worse!

I paid $72 for each of mine locally.

Ill buy the cheapest I can find from now on, well, since i have 4 of these UPS batteries, and 5 odysseys still going I might never need another battery.

I think I paid $50ish(Ebay) plus shipping for mine a few years ago.

i just got a power source sealed battery for like 60bucks or something..my oddesy didnt last a month..it cracked even though it was padded heavily in an aluminum box..

What part of the battery case cracked?

Your Odyssey may have exploded from an internal short from over tightening the terminals.

the top...it didnt explode..i noticed that it was leaking a little (starting to melt the sticker on the top between the terminals) and it still charges but does not hold the charge for more than a day or so....

The top cover with the sticker snaps off and there are rubber caps over each cell.

One of your rubber caps might have been leaking under that cover if you don't see any cracks in the housing.

ill check it out a bit better....i was just pissed and got a new one...ill pop the cover off and see if the cell is cracked....

I still have 2 Odyssey's that don't get well taken care of in the off months
Bought them off Denniss kirk through ebay .They were old stock and I was wondering how old but at the $35 they cost at the time,I figured I would try them and that was somewhere around 6 -7 years ago.
Got real lucky with these I guess

I brought the UPS batteries home today, well, 2 of them, I have 2 more in my office...

they wont crank a ski, it turns over VERY slowly, too slow to crank, about 1 revolution and then just hums.

I assume they dont have the CCA to do it.

\those are the ones in my previous photos, 14 or 16 ah, cant remember.

I will find and try a 22ah version next.

I'm convinced that the Jet-Works battery is nothing more then just overpriced UPS-Alarm battery.

You can get a 12V 18Ah AGM battery for less then half the price here http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...o=CRX&its=S%2BI%2BSS&itu=ISS%2BUCI%2BSI&otn=4 and they will probably last just as long.

You are correct, The best is panasonic, we put them in bmw motorcycles all the time.
