What happens when every member of the "X" who supports WDK has their hoods, footholds, etc.?

Where will Jeff's new customers come from?

There aren't alot of peeps in this sport.

We all know that standups are not mainstream...but I am amazed at how many people at times seem to crawl out of the woodwork and show up to the beach with standups..

Sometimes I have to sit back and remind myself that there are a HELL OF ALOT more people riding standups than just the population of the X

The members of this site represent a very small slice of the US standup riders.
Companies like Blowsion or JSU do plenty of business, and hardly any of it with members of this site.
Don't trick yourself into thinking that we are the alpha and omega of the national standup community

when the market is 'flooded' with hoods and footholds maybe he will sell something else?

flooding the market is the GOAL!
Not a concern , Id bet he would like nothing better than to flood the market.

this is all dumb, some people have more overhead, more employees, and highher production costs, some folks are willing to work for less.

buy from who you want to, in the end, it doesnt effect 'the sport' or the market in anyway.

i'm still trying to understand some of the logic here.. waterdawg offering high quality, affordable products, is somehow going to be responsible for the downfall of this sport? LOL.. did i get that right?

Did I say that?!?

I'm glad that Jeff is finally getting products out to his customers---it took him AWHILE to get that right. Did mile9c1 ever get his F1Pro?!?

Are all of his products high-quality? :dunno: I know that Idok had his hood and was pleased with it, but what about some problems with inconsistent lay-up on his footholds that I read about over on pwctoday? I have not heard of ONE complaint on his hood, and for that I applaud him. I hope Nick gets out there and thrashes his ski and it holds up, because only a few hoods have been put to the test as of right now.

EXACTLY!

there is NO OTHER company in the industry (US based) that can do as much as Jeff can

he has the composite AND machining skills

who else makes their MOTOR COMPONENTS!?!?!?!

in some other thread Steve made a comment about the buildoff and starting only with fiberglass and a bucket of resin

we if thats the case and you are supposed to be fabricating EVERYTHING..then Jeff is the only contender

He is the ONLY one that can build a ski with NOTHING but raw materials

:haha: :haha:

You're going a little overboard there, Scott.

I'm 100% certain that he doesn't build ALL of the pieces and parts necessary to build a ski.

in the other thread, someone mentioned "time will tell".

i have to agree. time will tell if flooding the market with bargain basement prices will result in WDs demise.

hell yeah he does! he builds the stators, coils, pistons rings, start/stop assemblies.....

you name it, jeff can make it for under $5

there is NOONE that can make more:

he builds his own:

pistons and sleeves

has capability to machine his own cranks and couplers

I know know if he can do cables and carbs...but I wouldnt put it past him :hail:

i think its a great thing what jeff did with his hood special, how many people can justify spending $1000 on a hood, and if you can thats great, but i know a lot of people who wouldnt normaly have bought an aftermarket hood got the opportunity to get one. the one i got feels rock solid and looks great and i will turn to waterdawg from now on first when i need somthing because i feel like i got a great deal,

Time will definately tell.

My point is that everyone is jumping on the bandwagon because:

1. Jeff is delivering his products in a timely fashion.

2. He has the best prices.

What happens when the fire sale products are all bought up and there are not 50 people in line needing/wanting hood kits, footholds, etc.???

Jeff is selling a lower line of hood w/ the 399$ hood
He sells much higher quality process hoods for much more if you like.

The fact that you can compare a WF ($895) hood and WD ($399) hood say a lot about Jeff's quality...

Jeff will make a $1000 hood if you want it pre-preg carbon too.

How much is the WF pre-preg???

awesome thing... I can go buy 2 WD hood for the price of 1 WF and still have some money for billet latches and everything... that's real bad for the sport???? I have looked over both hoods very well and can say... WD has got it beat in just straight up fit finish and strength. and that's the 399$ hood (time will tell though). I can't imagine what the WD pre-preg carbon looks like????
