Surfriding How to keep Surfers off your local break???

Where does the "female" bit come into play here ????

Well it sure wasn’t because I was riding around in my bikini in that cold water Bor Bor (although that never seems to hurt matters in general), so it must be because males can turn into real wetards toward one another, unless a female is around to counterbalance the testosterone when necessary. Eddie can tell you I was riding circles around them, and they were nothing but smiles in and out of the surf. :moon:

not everybody likes surfing with every wanna be pro, weekend warrior, beginner, boogie boarder or kyacker withen then area.

You're either an elitist or a pro surfer, and since you're not being flown around to the good surf breaks throughout the world, then I'll assume you're in the elitist category.

Yes, I am aware you are not ghey, yet you failed to post a photo of your big toe in the Tona Thread when I requested it, so a good cabana boy you will not make.

Are they ghey surfers or straight John? It could make a difference.

you really dont have any clue as to what you are talking about, if u notice i dont post about things i dont have a clue about, maybe you should do the same...the surf spot Wes was suggesting people go surf (lower trestles) instead of the river mouth in oceanside is literally a circus much like rincon is, the other spot i mentioned i dont surf because i dont like dealing with all those people..

at a place like lowers or rincon when there is a swell thats been hyped on the internet for two weeks before it arrives every person within a 6hr radius is there because it is a world class wave..it gets so crowded that u can watch it for a half hr and every wave has 5guys on it...not really my idea of fun...

i like surfing with as few people as possible, (ski riding as well, its not fun to have good waves ruined by a bunch of wakes) dosnt matter who they are or what they ride (unless they are my buddies)..the reason the guys go surf the rivermouth in oceanside is to also surf with as few people as possible being as u can only access it with a boat i can understand their frustration when 10guys on jetskis show up and start throwing wakes around (tow surfers or standups)..if wanting to surf uncrowded waves makes me an "elitist" then i guess i am but that also makes every other surfer in the world one too because i can garantee you nobody likes surfing in a crowd although sometimes the wave quality makes it worth it...

If you show me a surfer, I'll show you an elitist.

I ride the gulf, I rarely have to worry about surfers so they dont really bother me (or me them). The only people I have to dodge are kiters... until the wind blows them to some other area.

:thinkerg: I vote that John edits the subject line to, “I want to start a ghey drama thread and cry like an overgrown child, instead of getting out and enjoying my ski like a big boy”.

just show up first! F those assholes

This is really the only way. Dawn patrol in force. As far as the thread title goes. If they arrive and see a dozen ski's in the surf, they're gonna go north or south. If they choose to enter "the line-up".....welcome to the party, but no 100 yards.

I have seen surfers clear out as approx 40 ski's headed into the surf. If they're there, we give 'em 100 yards or so.

pwc's can operate anywhere here, but at "swimming" beaches we must stay out........I forget how far, but it's beyond the break.
So it's useless. Plus, we are not allowed to "launch" from the beach. So, we're pretty much stuck at the 2 inlets. (not a complaint, the inlets are great)
The point is that surfers can use ALL of the beaches. On occasion, they come to our spots. Oh well, we deal.

The remote control shark is a close second to dawn patrol....if it were a bit more realistic. lol. Maybe Tem will make a carbon fibre one! (no superfreak decal!)

nope..most of those shots in the vid are down by malibu on a really strong blowthrough day, the rest are from our usual kitespot that dosnt need to be named haha

ive never kited wadell..might make trip up there this summer (not much wind there this time of year) but it gets super crowded up there (dont want to get tangled with a software engenieer from san fransisco wearing two lifejackets and a hockey helmet and end up getting sued for damaging his keyboard fingers haha) but during summer it blows almost every day

Waddell ?

I haven't tried it and I don't mind when people do it, it's really not a problem in my area. I might like it but I'm not about to add another hobby before I finish school. BTW, no one in my area rides like the guys in that vid.

If I did ride I'd model all my moves after fairies like that second pic. lol

The proper term is "dangle fairy" as in dangling from your kite for 10sec like some sort of fruity puppet..it's funny that guy runs the big kite forum and he gets ripped on pretty good in his own forum. You should try it. You are lucky if u live in an area with lots of wind. Although I don't think the gulf gets really strong wind like we do here so u can ride small kites which make waveriding much easier..
