Right before your pump leaves the water, crank the bars, lower the pole and yourself a bit. Throw your head & body into the rotation.
Kick your feet out to stop the rotation and nose in.

You don't need a wake to get started. practice some S turns with little hops: a hop to the right, then a hop to the left. When you have a good rhythm, go ahead and hit the gas and really crank the bars when you do the left hop. The right one is an important lead-in, but the left is where it all happens. When you hit the gas, throw your weight forward and to the left: my best advice to anyone on a roundnose is to try to bite the gas cap!!

Remember: your job is to get the back out of the water - it's the pump's job to rotate the ski....

When you feel comfortable with that, you can try it off some wakes, but to be honest, it's too hard to get the timing down, so get the basic technique dialed-in on flatwater first.

water doesnt hurt when u fall... most of the time

i sold my bike to buy my hull and motor and its sooooo worth it!:woot:

Yeah well i dont plan on sellin my bike anytime soon. Just gonna ride her a lil less since the damn alternator keeps breakin down on me. It sucks cause ive finally pretty much got her to where i want her, just a couple lil more things that i have to do, and she goes and breaks down on me. Oh well, this jet ski stuff is hella fun. Bettin once i get some tricks down id probably wanna quit doin tricks on my bike lol.

Thanks for the explanation. Im gonna try hittin them S's a lil tommarrow till i get real comfortable. Why doesnt anybody ever sticky threads like this bout tricks on the ski? I searched for a couple hours at work and couldnt come up wit jack.

i was real anxious to try some stabs the other day when i was out, but the only think i was worried about was once i started trying br's if would mess me up any. I could see after doing stabs for a while, the br's would turn into stabs gone wrong.

When i do my stabs i do a 90 turn to make a set up wake and then crank the bars to head back at the 90 turn where the wake is. I crank the bars right as i go over the first wake and then gas it and crank bars to the leftand hold on. All mine are inverted (or most) but i never seem to disappear all the way under water. My ski does but i dont go deap enough. I Like trying to do big stabs like stoyer's but they always seem to be halfass.

Hey man that was Spug (Brad) and I (Dan) out there that day. I wish I could help you out, but I'm gone for good and won't be back in town for a while.:banghead: It was nice meeting you though.

I'm sure Danny (Flacarncyle) can teach you, but also talk to Brad (Spug) cuz he definitely has them down and can show you what to do.

Good Luck:biggthumpup:

I appreciate it man.

Learning stabs without footholds/straps will be a little tough though. If you can get some some holds/straps on there that would be great, but if you aren't ready to do that then throw some Hyrdroturf Lifters on there. There not that great, but they're better than nothing and they're cheap.
