I am not Happy-SOB

Cool man, I ll be there, with my little brother and his I think his friend is coming....You should see us floating around, and I am sure I have the only FX1 here....Also, where are you going to put in? We usually float around at the dock on that long strip of levvee.

Well,

Its doing it again, so I guess I am going to have to fix it for good....Got it too the lake, back it down, Doesnt do anything but buss. Then I get it to my friends house, plug up the charger....was popping some, and then just doesnt give anything at all....I think its the solonoid.

Kevin, I am going to call you so maybe you could come help me out. So much for riding tommarrow:(

Ok,

So I am going to test the solonoid tonight,

I unscrewed the three screws holding the box to the hull.

Now how do I get the box out? Will it pull out completely with the cords still attached? Or will I have to disconnect something?

Thanks,

Already checked the fuse...Its perfect....I need to know how to pull the box out...seems like the wires are too short that are connected to it to pull it any further out..

you may need to disconnect the start/stop connectors and the positive on the battery asnwell as the sparkplug wires. you 'should' be able to remove it w/o taking the starter positive off.

Ok,

I got the box out,

Now what? I need to take the screws out....and then I ll take another pic so someone can show me what to do.

I don't understand what your saying? Where is the ground? I thought that I was supposed to bridge something and then press starting to test solonoid? Also, what wires do you want me to connect? As far as I know they all are connected .....Also, the box has probably never been opened...I know the head bolts have been untouched....

has anyone hooked you up with a manual yet?

also, be logical and test parts and try to understand whats actually going on. Jumping to conclusions and just replacing everything and anything will leave you with a big hole in your wallet and hit and miss success. Also if you learn how to analize and fix the problem, its cake if you ever have to do it again. if you dont, your back to square one on the hit and miss.

No,

I don't now where to get a manual..Is there one I can download?

I get what your saying about buying parts....I am just anxious, and have a suspician that it is one of the two parts, I listed as needing...I might be wrong though.

The solenoid is the round thing with the two big red wires going to it. One wire comes from the battery, and the other goes to the starter. If you use a screw driver to bridge between these wires the starter should crank the engine. If so then the solenoid is probably bad. If not then you either have a bad connection, bad wire, or bad starter. Be sure and not pinch any wires and make sure the E box seals back up when you reassemble it.
