How many of you have bought and are still using the Hooker?

What pitch and motor are you using this on.

Trying to collect Data. Not trying to turn this into a discussion about the prop. Please just post 1 time. Pitch and Motor setup only.

All off topic post will be moved or deleted.

Factory Pipe Mod chamber
Jetworks flow control valve
46mm Black Jack carb on Riva single carb conversion manifold
V-Force II reeds
OEM FA with Wamiltons adapter
35cc Domes running 175lbs of compression

Impeller gives awesome hookup in the surf, especially in white water. Very snappy throttle response. Compared to a Solas repitched 13/16, my hooker has better hookup, throttle response, but I lost some top end.

i am about to install a 3mm spacer behind the prob as per arts request, along with a bored nozzle...he says it will unload the engine and rev even faster, but not cavitate. intrested to see how that goes.

im a fan of the hooker overall.

FX-1 w/ b-pipe and milled head. Works much better than the stock blaster prop it replaced hooks up in the surf really good.

Tried it on a Blaster with just a Riva Pipe and it made the white water surf pick up noticeably better. When we put the stock prop back in we thought it was cavitating decided the hooker was just that much better.

85mm taper bored nozzle
stubby cone

This setup has very good power and instant snap. Feels very close to being pitched too low but works good as it is. I have a big R&D scoop grate that adds hookup but I prefer the additional snap over the hookup in my current hull.

roundman has just put a 9/17 hooker in his ski. did it ever come to life!!!!!! it went from a borderline turd to a pretty damn stout boat. 785 jetworks { race setup } dry pipe and total loss. this boat will hop skip and jump with the best of them now.

Ok i'll add:
5mil * 85.5mm RD (Lamey cycl) with some real serious compression
02 SJ
RAD flywheel, MSD enhancer
all the typical go fast goodies
stock pump blueprinted
wet wolf freestyle cone
BIG bore Protec nozzle (close to 88 or 89mil if not mistaken)
Protec at the time offered a few different nozzle sizes, i bought the largest and I believe Paul (LPW) opened it up even more
JD deep intake grate and ride plate
Hooker 9-15 (out of the box model)

I have used:
hooker 10-16 (tweaked (non-meth lol))
Solas (Impros modded) 13-15 (cuts from 3mm to 5mm), 13-16 (3.5mm cut) and 13-17(3.5mm cut) (these were all tweaked as well, and Dave and I worked on various tweaks to these) my fav is the 13-15 tweaked sitting on my garage shelf
each ones has a unique sweet spot, and to me it's all personal taste as to what you like and works for your style

the 9-15 fits what i want, great POP off the low end, and the motor has plenty of muscle to pull at various speeds, although at upper mid range you feel where the prop drops off (meaning the pull isnt as strong, again its a bottom end prop)

keep in mind, I have Blowsion hull extenders, i'm VERY heavy (figure at least 300 pounds when in the water wet with gear on), have a reinforced ski, and weight added in the nose (plus the addition of the rayce weights if needed)

I can only wish this prop was made in carbon fiber (if that is possible) or Ti, something light to spin up even faster/more crisper, i think that would be interesting to see that difference

I think the larger Hookers are identical to Skat Trak C-75 144mm big hub impellers. Skat Trak told me they make the Hooker's for IMPROS. I think Dave has said the C75 is not the same as the Hookers, but the pictures he posted with that argument looked the opposite of the C75 and Hooker's I have.

My wife's ski:
12/17 Hooker/C75 Skat Trak in a stock pump with bored nozzle and stock cone
+5mm Able stroker ~772cc

Great top end and midrange, bottom is a little soft. I think it's too big for this motor. I may go to a Solas 13/17 or drop down to a 9/15 Hooker.
