I just wanted to repost these from PWCT. I'm about to do this tonight and these really helped me decide to do it. I think this was freestylegeeks setup.

You should try it the way I did mine. In my opinion it is the best way to do it, your able to use both straps and it looks super clean. If you want some more pictures of my set-up just ask and I can send them to you tonight.

Here is another way of doing the mod, and this way both straps will work.

We call it the Essefel mod!:biggrin:

hey orange flat top freestyler, those glass fuel filters sure are pretty, but i dont think i'd trust them beyond the underside of a car. very clean job, but i question the safety factor. although theyd probably never have a problem, the possibility is still present.

However,

These are the cleanable, Purolator ones and ive run them for 3 years on my ski with no problems whatsoever. Theyre superstrong and mounted on silicone pipework so theres no chance of them hitting anything hard.

The glass is very very thick, definitely one of the best items on my ski, they've saved my carbs from all sorts of rubish found in my fuel. :biggrin:

flattop, you need a to have a precautionry note every time you post pics of your engine, it could go something along the lines of:

mine uses the stock seal and screws.. stays airtight. It always releases vacuum when I loosen the cap. I did this mod a year ago and it still seals GREAT.

just drill your pilot holes for the screws SMALL...
