This modifaction is actually illegal if you are competiting in freestyle, that is why I came up with the clamp on fuel filler that you see all over the place back in 1999. If you need one hit me up or go to the Ski Clinic.

I dont see the point, either.
Rather fuel with the hood on and not spill gas into my blige if at all possible.

Actually, pouring gas in doesn't bother me if you got the cap on the inside.
It's the amount of work it takes to do this mod for very little benefit.

However: I will admit that being able to just take the tank out without having to mess with the filler hose is nice.

You guys must have better skis that me. I seem to have to pull a full tank out of my ski every time something goes wrong.:rant:

Its VERY nice to be able to pull a full tank out in 30 seconds without spilling a drop out of that stupid filler hole.

It probably wouldn't take more than 1 minutes of work, and 10 minutes of waiting & drinking beer to syphon that tank.

I am trading mine out for a stock setup at the end of the season, but only if I get a blingy billet gas cap out of it. PM me if interested. hone: I'll have to swap out my modded nosepiece and just about every part that goes with the gastank. I am a lazy one. Especially with the rachet hood straps.

as i see it
most of the time when i break down i don't ave a full tank so i don't often spill gas when pulling the tank

if i did it would be less than the amt i would spill filling from the inside

yeah the lines are nicer iwth no gas cap . but im too lazy
i hate taking off my hood

I love this mod .:biggrin:
The boat looks so much nicer .
You can take your tank out in 2 minutes and with quick disconnect fuel lines you don't spill one drop of gas .
I always take my hood off when riding anyways to check everything out before riding .

When you have the internal fill you can see when the tank is getting full and I never spill any gas this way .

One of the best mods to do and costs $5 .:shrug:

(notice in the second pic I also removed the body line where the stock plastic piece sat. No bennifit, just looks better)
