just arrived today 61x cylinder (ffom jetmaniac) 83mm bore, ported, plus extra porting. i have not even put it togeather nor is my ski ready for it at the moment. the quality of this top end kit is just ridiculously clean. i mean i have seen other excellent! machine shop's cylinder's that r ported ( jetskis, dirtbikes, scooters ect.) and $ for $ this kit is every bit of the same work no questions hand's down if not cleaner (my opinion) anyways from the looks of all my new parts this thing is going to RIPP pretty damn good.

do you need to get the bottom end ported to match for the full benefit?

thats all up to you. i would say for full benefits on 62t cases for sure but 61x case thats personal option. I didnt do it on my 61x case's but i also want 100% reliablity as far as load up ski go to a lake or the delta and run that SOB all day everyday for months back to back. I think there is alot of other things u can do instead of spending that money on case porting like building your pump exhaust (b-pipe) adjustable flow valve (jetworks) Head w/ removable domes or get ur stock head machined from (group k) proper carb and jetting cdi adjustable rev limiter lightin flywheel trued & welded crankshaft intake manifold reeds and the list goes on. things i would look in to and personal would do be for case porting or expoying

Would there be any difference in performance with the 62t case versus the 61x case. If so is it noticable to the average rider that wants a bit more power? thanks

I cant give you a 100% yes on that but everything i hear/read says that a 61x cylinder with 62t case's over the 61x cylinder 61x case's (my setup) is the difference between the hooker you get on craigslist or the one standing on the corner downtown.

If you want more power, then after bolt-on mods of head/bpipe, cylinder porting offers the most 'Brapp' for the buck. 61x/sgl carb setups will rip with a ported top end and many run them with great results.

If you want to take it to the next level of performance, then the 62t dual carb cases will flow better when properly setup, but may not be worth the extra expense for an 'average' rider who already has the 61x/61x motor.

Can you purchase this kit without sending you a core. Like if you have a cylinder that has a nice bore already, or in my situation where im wanting to buy a waveraider with 62t/62t to get a 61x cylinder and throw into a superjet.

sweet, and if i pick up a 61x cylinder, does it matter the condition of it considering its just going to be bored?
