Installed jetmaniac hood strap kit before hood seal install. Then dry fit oem hood seal and used ratchet straps to tighten hood into place. This allowed me to carefully inspect fit all the way around and adjust hood seal angle and location until fit was just right.

Installed hood seal with super glue and used masking tape to hold seal in location during installation.

Handlepole bracket install

I have never been totally at ease with the handlepole bracket halves not being connected together. The carbon in this area is SUPER thick so I am probably just being OCD on this one, but it is a surf build and I ride hard and inconsistent. So I had Jason at CEMotorsports in daytona (great guy and parts, daytona local) make me a custom SS handlepole bracket that is connected across the front.

Super happy with this bracket. Added 2 more mounting bolts in the connection bracket.

Ha, ha. I have one from my xmetal pole that needs to be modded for my SF carbon pole. Will install if there is time.QUOTE]

dont do it!

bracket looks really nice..definatly will strengthen the whole areaand yes, jason does EXCELLENT work (sorry Jason, coulnt resist)

Using superglue on the hood seal is a good idea. Which bring's to mind a product made by Caterpillar it's a green gasket sealer most Wrenches call it Cat Green but if you were to use it on the hoodseal it's the ultimate contact cement.

Got carbon Superfreak pole installed with RRP steering with JetManiac -2 steering mod (also 9mm rise) and 50mm riser bars. Bracket and pole install went smoothly.

Used pool hose for pole vent tubes. This tubing seems really rugged.

I am happy with pole length, looks just about right for flat/surf combo use.

Put on SF and JM stickers. Really like the green and black contrast.

Battery Tray Mods:

I know some have had issues with SF battery tray coming loose from hull so I decided to install 4 inserts to hold battery directly to hull.
This will eliminate any stess on the tray and make battery install/removal much faster and easier.

I used regular biax cloth with SS tnuts just like the other hull inserts. Mixed up West GFlex expoxy with a little black dye and the biax looks just like the carbon/epoxy of the other SF installed inserts.

I am running straps each direction to hold battery really well for back flop protection.

Used captured strap at the front to clear stock tank and standard strap other direction.
Installed Deka ETX-9 looks killer.
