Using superglue on the hood seal is a good idea. Which bring's to mind a product made by Caterpillar it's a green gasket sealer most Wrenches call it Cat Green but if you were to use it on the hoodseal it's the ultimate contact cement.
I haven't had to use any on my hood seal yet and have done fine with contact cement. But others swear by superglue aka CA (contact adhesive) One thing's for sure, I cary CA in my ski tool box though! Why is the advantage of Superglue over Contact Cement?
The CA is for CyanoAcrylate, not Contact Adhesive.
