Days 2-3
Haven't made much progress, had a problem getting out the old solas impeller from the pump I am using. I hate it when people install impellers on dry threads and then trying to remove them with shi@@y solas impeller tools. Does anyone make an aftermarket tool that is stronger? I f@@ked one tool up so bad, it had to be cut off the driveshaft. Thanks to 'Augustaf' for the help with a needed part and advice/help.
Got the shoe finished finally and the boweye installed. I am a little paranoid drilling into a pristine carbon hull.
Finally got the pump built after getting the stuck impeller off. Installed my Skat 12-17 freeride and replaced the pump cone with stubby wet wolf (both takeoffs from my original 701 stock hull setup), switched the reduction nozzle to a bored 62t one for trim, cleaned up inside a little, installed new pump seal. Pump ready for install!
Augustaf also taught me a trick filling the area labelled in the pic on my worx intake grate. It is right in front of the shoe where it could easily cause cavitation. I never noticed that area isn't covered by the shoe.
