14/19 c75 is SS 849 power...not 701 power

Even more reason it shouldnt be cavitating. Light hulls will scoot, heavy hulls will cause more cavitation. You should use like a 9/15 or 9/17 Hooker C75.

Chris I had to do the same thing on my Superfreak hull, light hull takes more prop! I think my Rickter with the SS could go up to the next pitch now.

I bet you 14/19 will be right on it on that hull

Idok and Foximus, I can now conclusively tell you that you are both wrong.:pokey:
The 14/19 is perfect with the jetmaniac ported motor in this hull. It pulls hard out of the hole and at all rpms with no hesitation. As josh and lucas said, lightweight hulls need more prop(higher pitch) not less. Less weight means the motor can accelerate the impeller in the water faster.

He put a set back Mag in with the 14/19 that is with the new 710 Jetmaniac/Blue motor. He just put the Xscream SS in the hull/pump combo and is doing flat water BFs, Chris is thinking about going 15/21 now!

Is that in a mag pump or stock?

It was in a stock pump at first and is in a mag pump now.

Getting a 14/19 repitched to 15/20 right now. I think it needs a little more bite!

Chris let me take his beast for a ride last saturday and that thing is awesome. The power to weight ratio is incredible and the ski just wants to rip right out of your arms with every pull of the throttle. The mag pump is always hooked up and ready to go and the power is always on, which on an unfamiliar ski can be quite a handful. I got out of shape a couple times and accidentally grabbed more throttle than I wanted.

Awesome ski Chris, maybe next time you'll let me try it out in the surf.?.?

Update for Daytona 2011:

Complete ski except engine!

This ski has been my daily driver and only ski for all of 2010. I have ridden countless hours on it in surf and flatwater and I still love it. I have ridden this surf freak hard and it has needed some minor repairs, but I don't think any hull would have survived my flipping, flopping, splatting, rediculous ride style without any damage.

I have had 3 different engines in it this year. I started with our JetManiac/Blue 710 freestyle ported motor as seen in the original build. This proved to be a perfect motor for this hull with plenty of BRAAPP but not too much to get you in trouble in the surf. Later I installed my XS827, it is an awesome freestyle motor with a superwide power band thanks to power valves and great SUPERtuning. It was almost too much power in the surf with a hull this light. Overrotated inverts can hurt!

I recently installed our new Jetmaniac/Blue BIG BORE 781. We have been developing this motor all year. Blue has already built three different prototypes with 3 different big bore sleeve designs. He has built and run and tweeked these three motors in his ski all year. We decided it was ready for me to try it out! All I can say is wow! It has much more power than our already strong 710 ported motor. The porting is much more aggressive and radical on both the cylinder and the cases.

I am very happy with this setup now. It has plenty of power for flatwater fun and is a little scary at times in the surf.
As soon as my new 2011 freak is finished, this engine and pump will be the setup for my new build.
