Joe Kenny, Prayers needed!!!

So - you wanna hear something weird?

Last night I'm driving home from work. I never take the surface streets home, but since I was on auto pilot, I did for some odd reason....

Along the way, I remembered I'd dropped off a role of film (again, something I never use - always digital) from a disposable camera...the contents of which I had no idea as it had been floating around in my baggage for so long.

I get to the store, open the envelope of 24 prints, and there on top, is a picture of Joe playing ping pong at Beach Party last September in the house we all stayed in....big grin on his face, ping pong paddle in one hand, and a Red Bull/Vodka in the other.

None of the other pictures in that role turned out.

That just gave me the chills...... But in a good way!

No new info this morning - we know he made it through the craniotomy (surgery to remove a blood clot on the frontal lobe of the brain) yesterday. He's in ICU on a ventilator and in a deep coma (not drug induced). He's being treated for pnumonia as he aspirated some fluids when he crashed.

I'm told he reacted well to some testing last night - fluttering eye lids, appropriate response to physical stimulation, etc.

All we can do now is wait and pray.

I remember that game of pong, that was the pre-wesson oil towel holder incident. That game even made it on AMCF3.

Joe's mom just called with an update - absolutely no change in his condition. They really don't expect anything for at least a week. We have arranged to chat each day at 3:00, and I will pass on any info to you folks as quickly as possible.

In the meantime, Ronny,i'd love to have a high resolution copy of your poster. I want to print it and send it to his mom so it will be one of the first things he sees when he wakes up.

I never met Joe, but have heard he is one hell of a guy. Best wishes and prayers. I will have some of the people i know add him to their prayer groups. we are all pulling for you.

I just spoke with Rob Kennedy - he's got a terrific idea for Joe and is workingon setting up an online guestbook of sorts where folks can post their well wishes for Joe, and we can give updates on his condition. It will also have a direct link to the Pay Pal account.

Once he comes up with the url and get's the hosting set up, I'll let you know the details.

Thanks Robbie,

He came to the Galveston Freeride in march 2005. You might have met him there.

Thanks for the update Lisa!

Ronny you are amazing - that is the most beautiful poster ever and really sume up who Joes is to so many people.

I wish I could be there to hold his hand for a moment and give him a kiss on the forehead - heck I wouldn't even mind one of his stinky farts right about now - but remember he is a strong man with a strong will and he has a huge support system in place -

I too am overwhelmed by the amount of support - I have received emails and phone calls and myspace messages from friends years ago who are no longer in the industry and heard about this and wanted to send their love as well.

We are all fortunate to have had Joe touch our lives in some way - I feel so lucky to call have him be a friend for so long now - heck he is like a jungle gym for Bristyn!!!

Thanks for the updates Lisa!!
