From a police officer in Utah on another board I'm on - not sure if this applies in CA but it's worth a shot.

You may suggest to his family to talk to the prosecutor's office. At least here in Utah there is a fund set up to help in these kind of situations - usually called Crime Victim Reparations. They can help even if there is not a case being prosecuted.

I too can't see it, both because youtube is down at this time, and I'm at work so the wmv file didn't work for me either.. thats ok, I have no sound, and I'm sure that I want to see it with sound..

Never meet him personaly but did see his ski get run over on the Beach at last years Nationals on the Gold Coast Australia... He just smiled fixed the finger throttle and went out and rode some big waves for us all to enjoy...

I have tried to post something for the last several days that would mean something or kind of show how I feel. And I really am having a hard time with that... It is tough when prayers are all you can really give. Joe means a lot to me as I know he does to many of you. I know once he gets a chance to see for himself how many people care about him he will be blown away. And that will be a huge help in his recovery. Love ya Joe...
