He's allright. He never lost consiousness. It looks like a broken nose and a good cut under his eye.

They are supposed to lifeflight him out of here any second.

John is in pretty ruff condition
His face is fractured in about 12 places. He is scheduled for surgery monday am. The surgery is pretty common, and he may be released as early as Tuesday afternoon.

He is the tuffest dude i've ever met, and is in that great Johnny spirit.
Keep your thoughts, and prayers with him.

It is typical damage when wearing a helmet, Nose, Bone structure above the lower sinus and above the eye socket are prone to fractures since they are exposed. Gonna be a rough couple days.

ive often thought of installing 2 vertical bars on my helmet to prevent this type of thing. it could hinder vision, though... or get knocked loose and cause even more damage :dunno:
