Mother of God...... That is a beautiful hull!

Swapmeet, you gotta to let me know when it arrived at your house so I can drive down and see it in person!! Pictures don't do justice!

Plus, someone gotta protect that hull from all the dangerous tools lying around in your garage!

Just now sitting down after getting home from Cozumel and putting the kiddos to bed.

That's some amazing work. How does his price structure work? Buy one paint job get a free hull! Wow

I've been wanting to address this for some time. I honestly don't think some people truly understand the value Steve is providing. If you love sick paint jobs and are of the 'the better my heap looks the better I ride' mindset, than you should take note.

Per Steve's last price quote on the Backie Chan "SHO", which is a fully visual carbon Kevlar, painted top and bottom deck (more paint than mine) turfed etc, ~65ish pound ski it would run you $7500.

Ok... Now take his hull out of that equation.
Take any hull you have to your closest custom painter, hot rod shop, etc. show them CWAmden, Deftons, Hornedogs or my ski, and ask how much it would cost to duplicate that paint work.... Or something along those lines....

I'm pretty sure the cost would be at least half of a complete Backie Chan "SHO"... And that's assuming the painter even has the skills to lay out paint like Steve can.

A gel coated top and bottom carbon Kevlar BC is like... 5k (I think.) so add the difficulty if visual layup, plus full custom paint top and bottom for $2500 more.... It's insane...ly cheap.

Say what you want about me being a fan boy or whatever. I come from a custom car background and knew when I saw Steve's Rok-r that he was a extremely talented painter. Then you add what appears thus far to be a high quality, budget friendly light weight AM hull.... I was sold. I recognized the value... I didn't say anything before because I didn't want him to change his mind on the price lol!

I would encourage anyone who thinks the hull is legit and more importantly, really loves this paint work to order their ski before Steve charges what the paint job is really worth. I don't know how he does it. I just feel lucky that I got in when I did. This isn't a wrap, or the same theme in a different color, this is candies and pearls, and airbrushing... It's a one off paint job that nobody else in the world has. I find a lot of value in that.

*steps off soapbox*

Cant wait to rail you on the water I need some gold paint on my rickter :))))

Just wait until a few get built and people actually get to ride them. I'm telling you right now, they ride awesome not only for being 77 inches but just in general.

I'm curious to hear some ride reviews.
