Hmm is that an erector set with a side of sea monkeys? Potential!

I like the foam, but if it were my choice I'd taper it off to a more verticle plane to match the sides of the hull more. Just to keep the spray contained by the bumper rail, and not direct water out to the side so much. Don't want to skip or slide out while carving. Just a thought, carry on.

Sea monkeys ! I like the the cut of your gib mister .... on my list of things to do.

Filling the bond line the first 12 inches or so the way I see it will not effect carving that much. If you look at tubbies it is the mid section almost in the flat part of the hull that really gets wider and adds stability and control.

Dawg ..... I have no idea. I 'm sure it will have to be made.

Snowxr has a good point. You'll want to make some kind of lip at the front to keep the spray contained. Remember I added a lip to my ski to keep the spray down.

FEAR NOT ! Wee ones . The project is still going just slow due to the heat plus I got caught up in some old Joanie Loves Chachi reruns .

Real curious how your build is going Kevin. Sure would love a ride report! I have a roundy Hull that I plan on doing something very similar too.

Kevin went to ride some surf for the weekend. He is picking up his superfreak badass too. This build is on hold until his freak is done, that's for sure.

you need to take a look at 227 tubbie mod in the front, it might fit in this build just right. I like the idea and am planning on doing a set like these. If you like I can send you a thin version of my tubbies to make it easy to section and fit to your hull. Ican even do em with no gelcoat and of course the price will drop drastically as the materials and labor will be significantly less.

cool build. cant wait to hear how it rides and what you think worked and what you would have done differently if anything.

Thanks to Wydopen for being a purist. I dont have the ride time to have much skill but I follow what you are saying and agree. Nothing stopping guys from using the mods to help until they have gained the skills. I wish I could skip the years I rode a 650sx and then a stock 650sj and went right to the ski I have now. but thats the way it works I guess. now I have the ski and not the time.

You have PM

Kevin was spotted doing research at a undisclosed location in FL.

True every time I come down and ride I find a new little thing I want to incorporate .

1. Hand holds in the rear would be nice to keep up with your ski in the break . It would make it easer to hold on to when your tired ......

2. Cut down the gunwales low so they don't rub your ankles as bad .

3. Making the flange wider after Scott S functional test ( this is still up for review )
