Hey chixquita banana, hope the build is going well...
Question. Do you have any pics of what your other hull bottom turned out like after it dried from the rattle can/krylon touch? I took mine out for the first time since September, AFTER I had completely rolled & tipped the bottom again, and sure enough, scraped the bottom up again.. ALOT. I didn't run aground ANYWHERE. It was literally from winching it back up the beach about 10 feet onto the beach cart (pretty steep hill, wouldn't be able to pull/push it up myself, I tried)..
So, it's all superficial, no gouges or anything, just a lot of scratches. If that's the way it's going to keep going, I'm not going to keep spending the time rolling and tipping. Figured I'd hit it with some oil/gas/rust/temp resistant rattle can and call it a day..
if it still keeps flaking off then I won't spray it anymore until I'm doing deep water riding ONLY.

Also, how has yours held up? Any peeling?
Thanks!

The pics and video are in my SXR thread, I think in the SXR forum. I've had no issues with mine and had it sitting on sand and mud. I used Rustoleum epoxy paint, all in the prep and dry time. Holding up better than I thought actually.

Come back and finish the krash. It'll pay off
I thought taking time off would help, but it has only made me more pissed off. My SXR is running like poop and I might not even be able to race this season, which is the important part for me. Just licoriceing done with it all, my husband and the guys are going riding today after and I'm going to sit on the shore. I'll get back to it sometime.

Whats wrong with the SXR?
No idea really. Thought it might be the carb base gasket. Took them off and did a little rebuild. Still same issues afterwards. Has an air leak somewhere me thinks.
In the water. Starts up, won't take any throttle and bogs its ass off any time you open the throttle. Sometimes dies out entirely. If I sit letting it idle around for like a minute I can SLOWLY start to feed in throttle. Bogs a lot, but after a while it will rev more and more until it finally will go full throttle. Once it goes full throttle it is OK in a straight line, bogs a bit turning hard right sometimes, until it cools down again and I have to go through the same process.

1. Check that the carb butterflies are sync'd.
1a. Pull Plug caps off and check wires, use needle nose and check to see if any strands are breaking. At idle there might be enough spark for motor to run, but once a load goes on it, they could be breaking down and loosing spark.
2. Check Compression.
3. Check Reeds
4. Check your fuel lines for cuts, holes etc etc. (Part sounds like your not getting enough fuel pressure)
5. Check to make sure flywheel key has not sheared.

If all of these check out. Time to inspect the Electrical System. Electrical system on the SXR's is usually pretty damn bullet proof though.

Carbs are synched enough, spark is good, shocked the fk out of my husband lol. Just got a new battery too. Has fuel. It seems to be related to the engine warming up, only runs when it is warm. Could have lost compression. Right now I just am not interested in fking with it though. Not at all.

I just wanted to give you a quick check list. I have been there so many times. Looking for the most obtuse issue and it is actually a very basic issue that I should have thought of........... Like a bad plug, not fouled, just bad, defective. Yes, Happened last summer.

Yup yup, I appreciate the suggestions :)

If I try to work on it right now I might just shove it off the trailer into a ditch. Life needs to settle down a bit. I also put too much into these skis for too long and just...not ready for more troubleshooting and dissappointment.

If you shove it into a ditch let me know where said ditch is. I'd love to pickup that ski.

That's what I was thinking. Especially considering all the sand that was found in the N&S earlier.
I think everyone is getting confused here. The thread took a turn yesterday in reference to a question.
It isn't my Krash, it is my SXR that is giving me the bogging issues. I haven't touched the Krash and plan to keep it that way.

I still stand by it is something engine temperature related with the SXR, runs ok once warm.
