...no, didn't even think about it since ever ski I've had has been modified.did you try unplugging the temp sensor?

awesome! what'd you do to get it going? cleaned out the tank/filter/lines/carbs?Good thing I took 4 semesters of sign language in college
Scupper is sealed. Water comes in all over the place on the seal.nice!!! looks awesome! its crazy bc that hood where it meets hull looks like its sealed well all around... im wondering if its all around not a good seal or if its in a specific area, ie up by the breather tubes?
also, once you're able to get it up on plane, shouldn't the scupper get a lot of it out? the challenge with that is, with a flatwater trick ski, you probably wont spend much time up on plane at a higher speed bc you're basically going to be circling and doing tricks I assume.
either way, looking great!
The pole tubes are in the hull by like 4 inches. I did the dollar thing and I could pull it out, but not like it really matters. The hood pin was so tight I couldn't get the hood off by hand and that is ridiculous.Did u check hood seal tolerence with a dollar bill? Clamp hood down with a bill laying across the seal, try to pull it out with some effort.
Also check your breathers into pole tubes, idk how the krash pole works, but make sure your tubes are stuffed up there real good.
Glad ur back on the water now!

I think they are pretty far up in there. I'll check out the Watcon and see. My hood seal is pretty lumpy and the hood itself has a low spot that I'm sure deosn't seal well in the very front. My ski use to stay pretty dry but now my pole tubes are busted open. Gets quite a bit of water in now. How far up the pole are your tubes? Maybe a watcon hood seal? I can't remember what yours looks like
I didn't cut them since they help route the cables without crimping them, why do they need to be cut? Deforming?you need to cut your pole tubes down if you have not yet!you said you sealed your scupper is that to say it is sealed shut? also that pin system is just to hold hood in place you need to install the hood strap!it will crank it down tighter
When we were washing it last we found out it in coming in from the front of the seal. It didn't seem to be the tubes since they were really tight in there, but water can get in the smallest paces.Easiest way to find where your hull is leaking water at the back is to fill it up to the bond line with a garden hose and see where the water is leaking out. Just don't fill it high enough that the water goes in the carbs, obviously.
i am 5'8 and i cut 2 inches but most likely going to have to cut 2 more off the tubes ! they push you back to far in the tray makes it ride to nose highI think they are pretty far up in there. The scupper is sealed yes, it let in an ass ton of water. I will install the hood strap, but since I am not going inverted or in the ocean I didn't think it would be needed yet. Seems silly that is needed to seal the hood since it is 'extra'. The Ricker I want to buy doesn't need a hood strap to seal lol.

Ohh, I thought you were talking about cutting the pole breather tubes. Not the metal tubes themselves haha. Yeah I do need to, I am 5'8" as well and it does push me back.i am 5'8 and i cut 2 inches but most likely going to have to cut 2 more off the tubes ! they push you back to far in the tray makes it ride to nose high
also mine gets water in but not that much ! my scupper works pretty good compaired to older style ones
