I agree that I need to decide, but I'm sure once I get some more ride time in, I'll know which direction I want to head..

FYI, that 360FLY footage is AMAZING...I work in Emergency Services and we are constantly looking for ways to improve our training.. we are in the works of creating a simulation program where we record an incident on site, load it into the program, and then the trainees can assess and choose their next move, etc... We currently use a few different perspective cams, but I HAVE TO BRING THAT 360FLY CAM UP AT THE NEXT MEETING!

what year is your SXR and have you GPS'ed its top speed? I've been told 48-52 but this is just hear-say on the forums.

What's the ETA for your first splash on the 50CAL?

Stock SXR out of the box is about 48, maybe 49. We Stock Class Setup with get you 50-51 (at least back when I was racing SXR (2004-2008). May can squeek 52 with AM Ignition. With Stock Class, Alot of tuning is needed to get everything out. It now always about the top speed but how quick you can get there and how quick you can get off the line (Bottom to Mid Power).

Nice.. Bc I'll tell ya, with @chixwithtrix cam view of the tray of her ripping, definitely looks WAY faster than the 33-38 that this 650sx probably does.
My 2003 stocker, 100% engine stock, was GPSd at 48. My 120psi Group K big bore stock class 2011 SXR I rode at World Finals clocked at 49 haha, tired ol boat. Back in the day before I owned it the 2011 was easy into the 50s.

I hit 51 once that I knew of. Temp, Humidity and Water conditions were perfect. Was out testing and did multiple runs with GPS. This was right before the 06 Nationals. Spent the season tuning and tweaking on it..... Never ran that good again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Stock class takes constant tweaking to squeeze everything out of it. High 49's- 50 MPH all day if not trying to get every little bit out of it.

The 4k 360Fly is awesome, you should check out the footage I recorded on my channel taking the side by side on a motocross track. Intense! All the ski footage on my channel was taken with my old HD 360Fly, 4k helped the quality out a lot and can't wait to put it on the 50 Cal!

As far as when I'll get to ride the Fiddy...probably will be months at the speed I'm going. Getting married in two weeks and in the process of looking for land/house (mostly to have a bigass shop haha). So I won't be in the garage to work on it for at least a few weeks now. Just need to collect all my parts. Blowsion order should be here soon with the CF flywheel tool and ebox mount yay

Are you kidding?! How much bigger do you guys need?!?! From the videos it looks like you guys have a classic car, a lifted jeep, a bunch of skis, a couple street bikes, a side x side.. Or two... Or three... And probably just as many flatbeds or trailers... And you still need more room!?!!

I envy you guys! Funny how I have to strategically plan to work on my toys around the wind direction and temperature and times of day due to heat, sun and mosquitos (and no see 'ems)
Patience is a virtue and it's better to take your time and be thorough as opposed to rushing to make a non-life impacting deadline.. Good luck!

Oh that's nice. Does he sell those?
It was one he bought that he wasn't going to use in his ski so sold it to me since I was looking for a smaller tank. It is a H2O 3 gallon tank.

Stuff always looks skewed one way or the other on the Interwebz, but yes we are very happy overall to live the life we do.

That garage/shop isn't ours nor is the Chevelle. We live in a 600sq/ft apartment. That is why my ski is in 'storage' and difficult to work on 30 mins away. One of the side by sides is my fiance's, no Jeep, but the bikes, skis, etc are our babies. We're literally the definition of live for motorsports, not much else we have the time for ehheh.

Eek..30 min away can get squirrelly when u think of something on the fly that you wanna do or try when tinkering.. That's awesome though that you guys have someone who will let you use their shop. You guys have a lot going on soon with Xmas and the wedding etc.. So we won't get on your case too much or give you guys a deadline of January 1st to splash the Krash! Lol..

All this Kawi sxr speed talk motivated me last nite to install my new bilge, and fresh battery and then hit it with the spray wax! And old ski, yes, but it's all redone and in great shape for my first stand up, and for the $800 price tag, I can't complain! (Besides the long drive from here to your neck of the woods!) but when you want something bad enough, it's worth it.. Especially with the few and abused affordable standups in my area..

Oh! Do you have any other footage of your rickter flips besides the helmet cam? Was curious if you were doing the "horseshoe wake" and a "pre-burst" first... There's another thread on here where a guy finally landed his first backflip and then someone posted "iceman's" "how-to backflip" video.. Interesting and cool stuff!

Old does not equal bad...all in what you want out of your ski. I'd love to have an old 550 on my fleet.

That's the only video I have trying to backflip the Rickter. My chin was pretty effed by the end. Biggest issue there was the guy who owned it had to footholds set for him (obviously). He is a big guy, and I'm neither large nor a guy (lol) so I kept slipping out. Killed my confidence because I was worried I would get blown out and separated. The Rickter and I fell together probably 12 times or so with the same outcome. With the 1100 in there any more body english and throttle and my feet slipped.

I think I'll have it with the Krash, just with the smaller engine I'll need better setup wake and more body movement. The XFS was way too slippery and not set up for me to make a good plump wake.

Yea I've frequented the carnage thread on here and saw nightmares from the whole foothold debacle. Too tight and feet not coming out, too loose and falling out/away from the ski and getting clobbered, etc..

I'm obsessed with learning all I can about the sport and it looks like the Krash Design excelled with the foothold market.. The one nick Barton demos says you can move those footholds forward and back 15" in either direction as well as up and down to adjust to your individual foot size..

I'm hoping yours has that same setup!

2016. We were going to go to the courthouse, but the family wanted to see something so we did it in the garage before the New Years Eve party since the family would already be there. Win win.
