Krashindustries.com is selling 997cc RTR Skis for $12,000.00

Location
chicago
I ordered one about 4 weeks ago. Ordered a rtr reaper. All I hope is that I have it no later than march as that is close to the start of the season in Chicago. Wish I knew about the reaper before I bought my spark Trixx. I just got exposed to this sport, am also into racing cars, motorcycles, and grew up skateboarding.

I cant wait to backflip this bitch off a 40 foot boat wake. ( or die trying)

That's my fear selling my superjet and moving to aftermarket and having it sink and lose it, that would suck. My superjet won't sink!

I filled the tray with foam and shoved 7 pool noodles under my hood to help keep my a/m hull from sinking.
Thanks that's good advice I've heard pool noodles help quite a bit I will definitely be moving in that direction. Where I mainly ride at is the river if it sinks there it's just going to bounce off every Rock on the River floor lol.

It might not float forever, but hopefully long enough for help to come.

Definitely rider error.

Khaos- Correct me if I'm wrong... The day before, he bumped the dock and didn't have the hood tightened down all the way I think. It knocked it loose and poured water in over the side when he climbed off. I was there for that but did not witness it as it happened. The second day it happened during the cherry buster and a failed flip. Someone who knows the full story will have to share that one because I only heard about it afterwards.

I have to say though, after spending time with Chris, Nick, and Joe this weekend, they are some cool guys. Super helpful with everything and easy to get a long with. I think they will do very well this these RTPs as more of them are delivered. Our group ran several tanks through ours and they run great. Just minor little issues with some screws coming loose in the beginning when we were doing initial water testing, as you might have with any other build. So for you early buyers, I'd just suggest doing a once over on some hardware under the hood.

Engine power is awesome, pumps hook great, hull handling is 10x better than my BOB (obviously). Nothing but positive marks from me. I love this thing. Picking up in Daytona worked out well for us northerners. Only 3 more months until I can ride again...

@Jarrett1999

In the picture, Gilligan is the one with the go-pro on his helmet facing to the left. Gilligan actually rides that Joes Custom, BAM all the way to the left. As what he explained to me in person, the ski was under him under water and he was holding onto it by the pole with just his legs.

I was on the beach when this happened. I saw Mark Gomez jet out there and also help Gilligan with a recovery from Davy Jones.

no I was the green helmet with out the gopro but yea just rider error it was upside down for a while, didn't help that it doesnt float when recovering

@cpolaris502 is spot on.

As for the Saturday “sinking” thankfully these have the closed cell foam in the tray. Which is why it hovered just under the surface in time for a tow. With the help of the guys in the water of course.
Leading up to that however the ski had sat on shore in the sand getting washed constantly for probably over an hour prior to it going out. Not sure how much time the Bilge had before it was taken out and immediately turned upside down.
Khaos was a nice guy and I’m sure it was a combination of eager over-site and maybe just some scupper awareness.

As for the Predator 997 review... I really enjoy riding it. Rips real hard down low and screams on top. I’m excited for more time on it. Felt very similar to a JB-1 but felt lighter. Felt really stable at high speeds as well. Also can’t wait to try different ride plate lengths too.

There are some really neat design features they thought thru. I was personally impressed with the carb / arrestor design. Comes apart like a Keihin (two bolts going thru the body from the top, yet has internals identical to a Mikuni. Nice shaft coupler and support top bar holding them together as well. Also something random and cool the bendix can be removed without pulling the flywheel. The trim had a stiffer feel, but cable used is a steering cable type end at the pump, which hopefully will hold up better than all the RRP and Thrust cable ends that always rip off the cable.

I guess my take away is, being that they moved away from a yami based case engine. There were things in the engine bay that they could change that maybe never had a chance to evolve. It’s pretty cool.

From what I saw of these skis in Daytona, they looked pretty great! I did not test ride any of them, I just checked them out on the beach and wherever else I saw them. I would say that if they figure out a few kinks, these skis will be golden.

Yes. I sank it failing skuppers 101. It was sitting in the edge of the surf before the cherry popper and it was already heavy. I couldn't get all the way over and back flopped pretty good. I spent too much time with the ski de-assed & barely moving and forgot to check the skupper even once. Dumbass rooky mistake. Rider error without a doubt. I've never had a skupper boat before so those things were not second nature.

The riders all came together in what seemed like seconds to get my boat hooked up and out of the drink. Gilligan was a madman and instrumental to the save without his ski to hang on to I would have had another outcome. Gomez towed her back to the beach. I tried to find and thank everyone but it was such a community effort that I think it would be impossible to name single names.

The good news was that Joe Grace & Chris Grace got that thing deswamped and back in action the same day. The Krash team is lucky to have them. The ski was rippin the surf and flatwater @ Dias on sunday!! I left Daytona with a new ski and a new Versa-plug from Ocho.
