Definitely rider error.
Khaos- Correct me if I'm wrong... The day before, he bumped the dock and didn't have the hood tightened down all the way I think. It knocked it loose and poured water in over the side when he climbed off. I was there for that but did not witness it as it happened. The second day it happened during the cherry buster and a failed flip. Someone who knows the full story will have to share that one because I only heard about it afterwards.
I have to say though, after spending time with Chris, Nick, and Joe this weekend, they are some cool guys. Super helpful with everything and easy to get a long with. I think they will do very well this these RTPs as more of them are delivered. Our group ran several tanks through ours and they run great. Just minor little issues with some screws coming loose in the beginning when we were doing initial water testing, as you might have with any other build. So for you early buyers, I'd just suggest doing a once over on some hardware under the hood.
Engine power is awesome, pumps hook great, hull handling is 10x better than my BOB (obviously). Nothing but positive marks from me. I love this thing. Picking up in Daytona worked out well for us northerners. Only 3 more months until I can ride again...

Yes. I sank it failing skuppers 101. It was sitting in the edge of the surf before the cherry popper and it was already heavy. I couldn't get all the way over and back flopped pretty good. I spent too much time with the ski de-assed & barely moving and forgot to check the skupper even once. Dumbass rooky mistake. Rider error without a doubt. I've never had a skupper boat before so those things were not second nature.
The riders all came together in what seemed like seconds to get my boat hooked up and out of the drink. Gilligan was a madman and instrumental to the save without his ski to hang on to I would have had another outcome. Gomez towed her back to the beach. I tried to find and thank everyone but it was such a community effort that I think it would be impossible to name single names.
The good news was that Joe Grace & Chris Grace got that thing deswamped and back in action the same day. The Krash team is lucky to have them. The ski was rippin the surf and flatwater @ Dias on sunday!! I left Daytona with a new ski and a new Versa-plug from Ocho.

That's what I was hoping. So no duty when it arrived in the US either? Just wanting to calm my fear of getting a $12k ski and being told I owe like $3k in duty or something stupid lol.Picked mine up in the USA showed receipt at Canadian border paid complete taxes on the amount including exchange rate and registered it in ontario Canada on the vessel licensing site.

I thought about that lol! But they are difficult at the border sometimes, I'd have a hard time getting them to buy that when they can look up the price onlineHave your buddy "buy it" Then have him write you a bill of sale showing you paid 2500$ for it?
