Happy owner chiming in.

3 of us in MN are approaching 10hrs on ours. Yeah, there's been little issues but it's minor stuff. Nothing that has kept any of us out of the water for more than a day or two so far. Krash has been more than supportive in helping us resolve everything. And for Nick, the OWNER of the company, coming out to make personal house visits on the other side of the world to address any remaining issues and make sure that everything is working exactly as he designed... have you ever heard of that before?

Maybe I'm one of the few that is understanding about the fact that we did buy the early production models and expected to come across imperfections. They're solid built machines, sturdy and great handling hulls, and 1000cc powervalve engines! The only thing I'll say is that I feel the engine could use a bit more tuning in the carbs, but that is one of the things Nick is checking out while he's here.

Coming from 3 satisfied customers on my end, you only hear about the bad stuff online. The happy people don't always feel the need to go out of their way to post about the good, I have more fun riding so that's what I'll be doing.
Trade ya! Haha.

Any updates from Nicks visit to the US?
Yes, NIck and mechanic, Pat, spent the day at my house on Wednesday from 10am to 10pm to update 3 machines. What awesome guys, I really can't say enough good things about them. We had a lot of fun hanging out. We got updated CDIs for better starting, updated bendix bushings, a few other little pieces and then went and rode at a lake and made sure they were all running great. I don't know what kind of magic he worked on tuning, but everything was perfect. The water screws in the pipe seem to play a big factor in performance. He did a great job explaining everything too, he really knows his stuff.

That is absolutely awesome to hear. Almost sounds like the early adopters lucked out the most lol. I don't think Nick will be making multiple trips to the US to everyone's house to tune their skis lol. I wonder if they were able to change that Chad guys mind and make him keep his skis. He won't respond to me so who knows.

Keep me posted. I would love to see some video of the skis now that they are tuned :) You know you want to try some FW flips!

Hey, did post last night. Had the same great experience as cpolaris. 8 hrs in my shop replacing electronics and doing quality control. Went and turned in a local pond. Learned a lot. Gonna try em for s few weeks. He said whatever I decide he will honor just asked for another chance. Once you meet this guy you realize he not making excuses only trying to make the product he believes in work the way it should. I actually believe he would come back. He assured me hes in it for the long haul with me. Even asked for the name of a local ski shop that he could talk to and train so if I have other problems I could bring it there no cost to me.
How can I not respect that commitment.
Now u just gotta go ride em.

Awesome man. That is so great to hear :) seems like every single person is saying the same thing about the Krash guys and their dedication to make things right and keep us happy. Props to Krash. I look forward to some ride reviews, hopefully you don't have any more issues :)

Ha
My ski was repaired and returned to me in 10 days. All updates were preformed while it was in NJ.

Uncrate added fuel and wow wow wow!!! Now I just gotta get comfortable with all this power.

Nick flew out for a day visit to talk things over. He's very committed, very knowledgeable. Had a great time!

Very Very Very pleased. If all goes well through this riding season I hope to have a Reaper as well next year.

Haha yep, that's kinda what I'm thinking about too. The reaper looks so fun.

Pat from OZ came out replaced my Starter and sorted the fitment issue with new machined bushings for the bendix and proper shimming of the starter. Fitment is pretty ideal. Tuned my carbs a bit as well. CDI with software update would have taken place but TSA pooched my CDI breaking the LEDs when they ripped them out of the bubble wrap and did god knows what. EFF TSA!! <insert lengthy political tripe here> Otherwise ran about 6 tanks of gas through her this weekend!! I have a few video's by way of howto's that I will post. Especially the 5 second exhaust reinstall.

Last weekend I had rare opportunity to ride a friends Rickter edge 950 Dasa and Krash 50 Cal surf back to back. The edge was awesome, had great power and fun to ride. When I jumped on the Krash I felt immediately at home (coming from riding SJs forever). It felt like a snappier, more stable and flickable ski than the edge. No I didn't try to flat water flip... The power was much more abrupt and the ski just always felt right. The ski performed flawlessly at every stab of the throttle. Cheers to Krash for building this beast! Wow, I'm sold! It awesome.

That's good news to hear, My brother is really wanting to build a Rickter Edge with a built superjet motor he was thinking it would be comparable to my krash KV 997

Out of curiosity anyone had any issues with EPA or other authority regarding emissions? I just got my confirmation from Krash that my 50Cal is ready to go but I need to sign a waiver for EPA because it doesn't meet their emissions standard thus the ski is designated for race/competition only. Clearly the majority of people are using these for recreational purposes, not competition.

No problems. That's just what allows them to sell them "for race use only". Like buying aftermarket parts for your street car that may be marked for off road use only.

When you buy a new SJ, It is "for race use only", you are even suppose to present an IJSBA or ProWatercross Competition license.

Most dealers just want a sale , especially on a stand-up. No problem in NJ registering either but I have heard of some needing to join the ijsba to purchase

Just make sure your ski has the starter problem resolved it will leave you down for weeks.
