Ya, there is more issues then I had originally thought, but I am happy with what we agreed on, thats all that matters.

And on hull value. It will be better then it was when it left the factory. So I dont think it'll hurt value to much, plus I don't plan on selling it anytime soon.

Just have to look at the up sides, I learned about glass I never knew existed and how to vacuum bag.

I'm glad you are happy. That's what matters.
Yes, it will be better than when it left the factory, but it was a POS from the factory apparently.
When it is time to sell, and I'm assuming you will disclose the issues it had and the process you took to fix it; it will most certainly have an effect on interested buyers. I went through that first hand on my Vision hull that had a nasty corroded engine bay. Re-did all the mounts and addressed some other issues. When I listed if for sale it was rock solid, "stronger than the day it left WCF" but nobody wanted it. I had to give that thing away.

Krash stepped up and worked a deal with Yami-rider that he is happy with, end of story.

Everyone is very quick to jump in and bash and criticize. But this hull was clearly out of Krash warranty and they still stepped up and made it right and made the customer happy.

Maybe Yami-rider wasn't comfortable taking it somewhere and wanted to do repair himself.
Not trying to bash mate, I love the Krash name and think they ride and look ace (better than my evo infact).

I think yami rider is doing the work at a level beyond what most boat repair shops would do. I would rather do the work myself and know it's done right than drop it off somewhere and trust someone else to mix resin correctly and slap some chopped mat on it. I wouldn't consider half of the boat shops in my area to be proficient at composites. Though I suppose they are all professional since they get paid for their work.

Fine job so far!

Hit that nail on the head. I owned a boat/pwc repair shop. I have fix quite a few boats/pwc with fiberglass damage over the years. I have also seen some of the fiberglass work from some of my competitors in the area, what a joke...no way I would let them touch my ski.

Not perfect, but I learned a few things that will help me make it more perfect next time.

No, the old style plates were weak, couldn't handle my extreme air time, causing the plate to de-laminate in a few areas. I have one of the new plates, they are made out of better quality glass and are a little thicker.

Got all the gooey glass/resin cut out of the bond rail. Filled it and the air void that was behind the original glass. Also patch/built up a low spot with glass.

Built up the upper edge first, then I'll do the whole side in one piece.

This is a bummer to see, my FootRocket is bulletproof, been flipped in 20ft surf and can definitely handle everything I can throw at it, sorry to see the problems you have had with yours. They are such a fun hull either way!

Wow, I get that they gave you supplies and so forth but this is an insane amount of work for something that was clearly flawed from the start.

You're much nicer than I would be.
Thats what you get when this is their warranty program.

"As we all know in this industry products are improving tremendously by the month and we at Krash will back all of our products from our factory (6 months from purchase directly from us or our dealers) and will reimburse the customer as we see fit in order to make their hull acheive the level of a full repair. As like any industry, warranties become void upon second hand goods."

That's great, and they're perfectly within their right. I'm not here to argue semantics or the fine print of their warranty. However, from a business perspective, this thread has done more damage than 100 bad reviews could have ever done. Mistakes happen, but look at this ski, do you really think that it doesn't warrant a full replacement? Clearly there were issues with the layup, this is not the result of a reinforcement job or a lawn dart. From Krash's perspective I would think they suck it up and replace this hull as damage control. But ultimately that's their business decision.

I am 100% in agreeance with you. I said the same thing earlier.
