Freestyle Lee stone and why he couldn't wow the world again

Personally I thought Lee should have ran on Sunday and I think he would have done well (top 5 for sure) and we wouldn't have had to deal with all this drama. understand that he did a superman backflip Saturday on that ski, which resulted in him bending his handlebars on his first trick (bad break/unlucky), which limited the number of tricks he could do on Saturday and still took 7th place.

Well, understand I don't work for EME,but I have been going to world finals and helping Eric Malone with his display booth for the past 6 years -- even competed against him in the past.

The new hull has been tested for 2 months by Eric Malone prior to the world finals, but he made another prototype with the majority of the modifications 6 months ago when he envisioned this hull design.

Alright, well I'm up way too late -- out for the night.

this was for the Sky or Arieal ????

Still no answer why no back up ski ?? illegal fuel???

there is many point in that story who confused me. Lee wrote also "Right up until my qualifying the ski wasn't ready we were still waiting for glue to dry on the add on rubber parts to the hull". what is that ???

Like you wrote before Lee an Eric are both excellent rider, why are they at that point just before the WF. I understand that Lee is in Australia, but IMO Eric is in his shop every day.

  • Brenden Van Sickel if you read the eme release it states what happened, yes we were up late, we rode the ski everyday since the riders arrival. The yamaha nozzle we had been trying to make work for the rider was not going well. We swapped back to a kawi nozzle the next day and had no problems what so ever. The yamaha trim was even sufficient in performance as well with a few glitches, but they have not been refined.the rider rode perfectly fine in the practice sessions, Qualifying he and the ski were perfectly fine. Superflip bars however were not tight enough. ...lee can throw stones but he cant break our truthful bones
  • Seems there are some conflicting stories. I'm not trying to stir it up at all in any way, just tried to grab a post and share it.
So far in my opinion, Lee got the short end of the stick. Time will tell though.

When it comes to drama, forum members seem to be on it quicker then teenage girls.

Remember, there's always 3 sides to a story: Person A's side, Person B's side, and the truth. No need to say that anyone is at fault for anything if you don't know exactly what happened in the situation, and you can't believe everything you read on the internet, including press releases.

Surfers bring at least 6 boards, to a comp. What about the whole back up ski idea. Strange at this level of riding you would expect a few other skis on hand. Lee dominates and Eric is a master, wtf. Normal drama played out on the internet. NOW EVERYBODY GETS TO SHARE YOUR PAIN, LETS ALL POST THE MOST PERSONAL MOMENTS OF OUR LIVES ON THE INTERNET AND LET EVERYBODY TALK SMACK.

I wish no one had released anything... These people need to learn how to manage their "brand" a little better. I never understood this airing of grievances on the net crap.. You are just asking for people to run wild w/ speculation... Eric and Lee should know better.
