Let's get this show on the road- where to stay

Need firsthand info on the best place to stay for this Freeride
location location location, we need to be close to the riding area.
Preferably just on the beach side of the campers

Some of you guys have been down there, so answer these questions--

1-Best area for waves (thats why we are going)
2-closest area to this that we can stay, house or hotel

Only 90 days to go, lets put this together

Looking at renting Casa Las Palmas or Paradise Palms. Can sleep 14 people.

Is there anybody going who wants to split a house with us?

3 rooms with king size beds
1 room with 2 full size beds
1 futon somewhere for max capacity of 14 people

Thats why I'm trying to see how many.
For that price, I'd just as soon hotel it.

Should build me a house there and rent it, I could quit my job.
Have been on a few websites around Port A and all very expensive.
And I thought Surfside was expensive..............

Open to options, a couple of non chain, smaller hotels closer to the jetties and closer to the beach also
on South 11th St- Port Aransas Inn, Coral Cay, Belles by the Sea
on Sandcastle Dr- Seaside Motel and Condos close to the beach
On Anchor Dr- Beachgate Condo Suites and Motel, Beach Lodge close to beach

There is Best Western and Holiday Inn Xpress, but I plan on being toooooo...... rowdy to stay there:sneaky:

yeah, but everything in Port A is "close" - it takes 10 minutes to drive from one end of town to the other.

There is a holiday inn very close to where I normally ride. It's also close to IGA, Port A Pizza (Their buffet is a must!) Also Bernie's Beach House is right up the road for the best nightlife in Port A.

Here's a good cheap hotel/rv resort with a nice HOT hot tub. It's right in port A just a minute from the beach. Ken the owner always gets us a good price.
