sorry Big K, but that's funny right there

What is even more funny is this thread is about Light Weight hulls, which stretched to topics about hull builders, not someone who took parts and pieced together a 1990 Squarenose. (Granted, Charlie did a great job doing so for an even greater cause).

Now, what would be even more funny is for me to let Chuck-E-Cheese get to me then I just say "F" him and just take my nose out of Bobs Ass and just ban him!!!!!!!!!!!!

Haters will always hate. Let me really set you straight. I ran into that punk at a lake not even knowing who he was. Since I grew up riding dirt and been broken to many times, I went to play in the water full time. Saw these guys riding from the road and was looking for some people to ride with. First guy I talked to was Josh. Malone had no time for me until he heard me talking about what I do for a living, which was not building jet skis. Boom, the light went off in his head. It gets better, since Josh and Brad had told me all the stories from that day on. No need for the added drama. We can talk in more detail when I met you face to face if needed. So I talked with him on a daily bases explaining how to build the first set of molds off a kawi. Since he thought the ski could not compete without major weight reduction. So the first set of molds were finished by Malone and I flew up to build parts ONLY. When I got there and saw the molds I had to take a deep breath and make it work. He had the wrong materials and was missing materials, so I scrambled on the phone to get everything needed before I flew back home. I pulled it off and he and others said they never saw anything that light and strong. I was told it only needed to last 40 gals. So I was sure things were good for the world finals. Which that was all the ski was built for. I was worried about the fit of the parts because I didn't make the first set of molds. Had to leave and never saw the ski made. I flew out to the wf in 05 and saw the ski and was a little scared and concerned with how long it would last. AGAIN I did not build the ski. Come to find out the upper and lower had a .5 inch gap around the bond rail stuffed with all sorts of glue and material. The back was cut minus 2" and patched with carbon which is a disaster waiting to happen. Along with many other issues. It held up for the guy to win and piss everyone off since he was sponsored by Kawi and ran a Polaris engine. When kawi dropped him, I made the second set of molds right, then split myself. Here are a few pics of the build and why there were issues. This is what happens when beginners in composites build a fairly simple vehicle. These build pics look nothing like mine posted here on the x. Charlie your a wonderful person and look forward to meeting you soon. A+ for the effort, keep shooting it makes me work harder.

ban me? for not building lightweight hulls? or for piecing together a square?

youve certainly banned me for lesser things.

i guess LPW isnt a ski builder either, as all he does is "piece together skis".

didnt he win a BUILD off?

or, does is count only if the hull was produced after 1995?:swordfight:

Build is build.

Who makes a 75lb surf hull that can take all of my roundnose stuff and how much?

Is that better?

i was on topic until you came on and derailed me with "ihey charlie, i dont see you building anything".

"anything" implies all kinda of stuff. not just lightweight hulls.

did you mean that you dont see me building lightweight hulls?

if so, then ya. DUH. i dont build lightweight hulls.... neither do you.

what was your point, harrison? (you may have to wipe the shat off it to see it LOL)

very interesting.

I don't know why everyone has such a prblem with sfl. but you seem to be handling yourself very well considering what I have seen other do to themselves when confronting him.

I love the history lesson. does nothing to damage anyones credibility. shows exactly how things came to be. his boats are obviously much improved. you obviously have a lot of skill, knowledge and talent. maybe i only see the rosey side of this thread.

still thanks- plus it makes me feel better about some of my first projects and less scared to do the ones I am working on now.

That thing was clearly made to be a throw away prototype/1 time competition hull.

I looked at his ski up close in Daytona and it was flawlessly sick.

you get used to it, there are a lot of people with talent, some with egos, some with more wit, some who can just reply with info some who never have anything that contributes to the overall benefit of the community. but all in all I feel its a good bunch of guys. too many chefs in the kitchen I guess. you learn how to weed thru.

If you really feel terrible about starting something that happens on nearly every other thread next time narrow it down to "only those who actually own the hull and have beaten the snot out of it for more than....." that may keep it on topic or maybe get few or no responses.

actually you know the carb thread? can we get a hull thread? only posts from real owners and stating time owned, how its riden, some likes dislikes, compromises made for money or style. someone smarter n me can design the categories. cost, time to get it... etc

Hey Tom, wouldn't you agree that this place would be much better off if more people were respectful of each other.

eh- for the most part we all get along pretty good from what little I see. you see much more than I. there are a few exceptions. but then again there always are. it definitely helps if you don't have people you can't stand posting alot. I have had a few words here and there. it doesn't do anything except get me hot under the collar. you seem to be a little sensitive to sfl. its nobodies fault, but now you will just be looking for a reason to say something.

I don't know about you guys but I feel much better when I don't post or come on here for a period. I miss it but then again I am calmer now. on the fiip you have the top poster who never really seems to get bent with anyone. and I like how mark44 always posts the popcorn. I mean really...when you think about all the character here it is kinda funny. but again I am not here babysitting like you guys are.

I like Bronson, but I had had it with his lightening everything under the sun posts last year and now he is a Trinity supporter which is great and I don't have any issues with either of them I am glad they are here. Bronson is a helluva rider and it seems Bobby is a straightshooter with lots of cool parts comin. but seriously Bronson can roll a blaster and Chris just bf'd one so how important is weight really? extra strength at the same weight seems like a better goal -give it to me at the same price as a used hull and the cost to reinforce it and I am in heaven. but not living in reality.

Mike is a friend of mine-and has gotten under some peeps skin but again he can ride so he can shoot his mouth off. he earned it imo.

I still don't need to read every post about how great so and so is. it gets old quick. like tv commmercials. I got it. but I don't have a need for it so I move on.

last thing I have to say about it harrison is, I have seen a thread where mulitiple pages of arguing were going on and charlie posted and it was just assumed by some jakaz that since there was arguing goin on and charlie was there that he was the cause and he started laying into him and didn't even have a clue what the thread was about. just saw fighting and sfl in the same place. you know what comes next...he IS a pro in that arena. but I did feel bad for sfl, what did he do to deserve that? and now hte thread is about him and everyone starts piling on and then its locked. did the instigator get punished? I doubt it. did anything good come of it? what did happen was that sfl has another black mark next to his name. even you have to admit he is better now than a few years ago. he really seems to be posting more factual than sarcastic. now if you start crap he WILL get fired up. but who doesn't?

I realize there have been issues before but today in this thread he started no fight. no smartass comments were made to begin with. seemed to me all he did was support his builder of choice just like everyone else.

but hey what do I know? just how I see it. I try to see the good and mostly the funny everywhere I can.
